Hello people,

I am currently using 23081 Nov 3 manilla 2.1 and i am trying to restore the default TP2 Volume control? I have tried a few different cabs and still when i use my volume control it shows the big white one with the 2 sliders? I have tried to see if it is in the keymap but can't figure it out. Any suggestions??

No it doesn't work. The included version of quickmenu is still mapping the X location in the top right. Unless there is a way to fix the position you have to tap the top right corner (where the older wm versions had the X) in order for quick menu to work.

A working bypass that I started a few days back was to install Rhodium Keyboard Control and map the ok hardkey to close an app on long hold. Works well once you start to ignore the on screen X.

Yuck, that's exactly the reason I stuck with 21864 after trying out 23xxx for a day. I hope newer builds of 23xxx fix that.

They won't. Its not a problem with Windows Mobile its a problem with quickmenu. Windows mobile is designed to not close apps when you X out (i beleive for speed sake so you don't have to reopen them again). Its just the way it is. QuickMenu, Showcase, Wisbar they are changing the way the system works so it closes when you hit X. Its those applications that are the ones that need to be updated for 6.5.1. Showcase and wisbar are supporting it in beta form. Not sure about quick menu.

Best option I can see is what I said I am doing. Map a hard key to close the apps. Works just as well. Plus if your not mapping hard keys imho your not maximizing the capabilities of the phone. The rhodium kbd control alows so much variety with mapping you can get any job done

Thanks for the clarification. Then I hope some headway is made with those programs to play nice with 23xxx builds. Rhodium Keyboard Controller rocks, without it I don't know how I'd do copy paste (honestly the touch screen option is annoying)! Just wish the Sprint TP2 had that push to talk button that the Tilt2 has to be used as a camera button.

An alternative is to use AE Button plus to map the "Left Arrow" key (next to the end call button) to the program "Zapit" (freeware) with a single click and to its normal function as a double click. It lets you close the running app or alternatively leave it open but return to the Today screen.

Here is a link to Zapit http://www.pocketpccity.com/software...13-ce-ppc.html

And AE Button Plus http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php

Hope some of you find this helpful. I have used variations of these two programs since my Mogul days and have found them hard to live without.

Enable AGPS to assist it: Start -> Utilities -> Tweaks -> Advanced Config, scroll down to and click GPS, then click on Assisted GPS, and using the drop-down menu at the bottom, Enable it. Do the Soft Reset when it prompts you to, and then your GPS should fix faster!

Also, make sure to use the HTC GPSTool, found in Start -> GPS. That will help the GPS to lock faster.

Once you do that, open Google Maps (Or your GPS program), go to Menu -> Use GPS (check the option), and then let your phone sit for 10 minutes or so. Remember, GPS doesn't work well in big buildings. Enjoy!.[/LIST]

I have a Sprint TP2 and I've installed several releases of energyrom with no gps problems. I never do any of the stuff from the FAQ all I do is run quickgps (start -> gps) before trying to use the gps, usually works for me.
