HTC messaging client

ok after some searching (and i mean some searching!) i found cab for htc messaging client

2 things to consider:

1. the original client was version: HTCMessaging_Client 1_15_19203828_00
- i guess a newer version

2. the one i found is : HTCMessaging_Client 1_1_19203223_00

-whats important is that it works without having to reinstall a fresh rom
so it should hold up until some one with the knowledge can make a cab for the newer version

note: this is for those who want the manila messaging client and dont care about mms

enjoy!

Re: [ROM] [12/09/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R6 (21884) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

Juicy first off R6 is my favorite Rom yet Secondly I have fount a few things that don't work which you may want to address in R7:

-Calender dates under contacts (birthday) is still a day behind the intended date
-keyboard slider sound is still not working (energy has a cool transformers sound option)

MMS worked great for me with Sprint after installng two cabs... and so far youtube works GREAT!!!!

Anyone know how to make the screen go to black screen when playing music through manilla music icon???....it is draining my battery and I keep hitting soft keys while its in my pocket lol

If you have headphones plugged in, you can hit the top button to turn off the screen. If there is no headphone plugged in, pushing this button also shuts off the music. Since it is bothering me as well, I will see about using a script and get back to you.

How about a cab to change that 3g back to "EV" for sprint users?

I attached a simple mort script that toggles the display off and vibrates your phone (for testing). It works and does not stop the music playing. Simply create a shortcut to the script and run it at will.

Say thanks if it helped.

Technically, EVDO is a 3G (3rd Generation) network.

So this works and fixes the "send the sms from contact" issue?...I really dont mind what Juicy did with the removal...but this is a good find and should satisfy those that want it back...I assume it can also be removed in the normal fashion?
