Just flashed to R5 and my long press send button for voice command and long press power buttons for shutdown are not working.
Carrier is Sprint, any fixes? |

Has anyone found a cab for removing the top curtain that works with R5? I've tried a couple with very bad results.

Holy Moley
R6 is development. I LOVE IT! I hope htc messaging is a bid bit faster. At least I can actually use it now somewhat |

How come the speakerphone doesn't automatically turn on when I flip the phone over?
Is there a solution to disable the weather animation and to disable the HTC messaging? These things make the rom so laggy! |
Re: [ROM] [11/28/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R5 (21882) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
i installed tsowen taskbar6 for wm 6.5 and for some reason the network icon changes to an activesync icon after a data connection is established. only a soft reset fixes it. not sure why it's doing t his, but it has to be specific to juicy rom cause it worked fine on energyrom. anybody use this taskbar and know how to fix it? http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...65&postcount=2

Re: [ROM] [11/28/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R5 (21882) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
so...
i just installed a few cabs: - more call options - reset - softkeymanager - bignadad sense removercarrier - zmark sms messages as read fix one of the above apps just stopped my ability to finger scroll through the body of an email. now, when i try to scroll, it just highlights the text (as if i turned on the"make selection" option). fyi - when i tap and hold the screen, i now no longer get the "make selection" option. (i can still "flick finger" scroll up and down my inbox, and file explorer) any idea what caused this - and more importantly - how to reactivate "finger-flick" scrolling within the BODY of my emails? |

If anyone wants to try out the Xperia X2 taskmanager here it is. It works perfect with this rom. Just install and soft reset. I kind of like it better than the htc task manager.

Regarding disabling weather animations there are two alternatives 1) Set a custom wallpaper on today screen 2) Setting the registry key HKCU/Software/HTC/manila/Home.WallpaperMode from dword 0 to dword:1. This works only for Sense UI 2.5 |
Re: [ROM] [11/28/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R5 (21882) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
Hey Juicy, when are you dropping R6? Im on R3 and i see no significant differences in R4 or 5 to update? Why not cook in mms fixes and stabilize manila for text as i have frequent freeze ups.

Re: [ROM] [11/28/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R5 (21882) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
Sprint User:
This is by far the most stable rom yet. I am able to customize it with Max Manila 2.51920xxx Ultimate - v2.2.cab and works great. Good functionality and as a power user only reach approx 75% memory usage in a days use. There are two things I wish worked that currently do not. 1. Sprint TV a. Loads to the start screen then freezes 2. MMS a. I've tried the Arcsoft_MMS_Sprint_5_0_94_128c.cab and the registry mods with no luck Any ideas on how I can get these to work? |

it did take 2 or 3 soft reset for sprint tv to operate tho, but after the initial 2 or 3 soft resets, i never had another problem with sprint tv.

Running R5 and have been having frequent lockups when doing basing things....hanging up a call, replying to texts, accessing info on contacts...not really sure if its still the manila messaging thats causing this, but I'm doing a reset 4-5 times daily.

Then again, it just may be your phone doesn't like R5. I had similar issues with my prior TP1. Some ROM builds just wouldn't load on my particular TP1(they would hang during bootup), yet others had no issues(a couple Mighty ROM builds and Juggalo's last .08 build come to mind). The next version would usually would cure the issue for me. I know R6 is just around the corner, so perhaps that will help. |

I don't do a lot of texting, so I can't speak for the texting issues(I have sent and received a few with no issues but I know some of you do MANY during the day) but I have not had any lockups yet otherwise, doing any of the things Mthat staCDLite had issues with(hanging up phone, accessing contacts).

Tried it, Same results. You know what I'm thinking it might be. Everyone keeps posting to go to the email icon, click on inbox, go the the go to the SMS/MMS inbox and then change the server from there. I don't have that. I just have my Gmail and outlook exchange in the email tab. Now on those I can go to <menu, pic/video options> but I don't think that helps me as that is for the email, not messaging. Now From the message tab. I can go to <All Messages,Menu, Settings, options,Menu, mms server> I have 1 connection in there that I created called SprintMMS. There's got to be one peice that I'm missing. Thinking about just uninstalling the arcsoft cab and the MMS Fix (M2.1) (Sprint).cab and removing all servers in the registry under arcsoft, load and try again? Thoughts? ](*,) |

Re: [ROM] [11/28/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R5 (21882) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
In order to see the MMS account under the email tab, you need to change the External Accounts, as in Post 3411.
I did exactly what that post explains and MMS works. Try that. The external account change is what you are missing. |
Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (Windows Mobile; WCE; Opera Mobi/WMD-50286; U; en) Presto/2.4.13 Version/10.00)
MMS worked in R5 for me without installing arcsoft. I can send and recieve too. I have manila sms disabled though. Rom is super stable for me too try a hard reset. Something is making your phone freeze. |
