I'm enjoying this rom- but despite my searching I can't find clear fixes on why my DUN Bluetooth wont connect, nor can I figure out if I could get MMS to work, some people claim it's still impossible... DUN though is a must.

Any suggestions or areas of the thread I should reconsider. I notice a lot of it is months old, and maybe not as relevant in the newest version of the SenseUI

I wouldn't say better then the rest.......
juicy makes great roms, my pops loved his work
but always jumped from mightyroms to juicy then back again

This new version of Topaz manila with its enlarged text and non glitchy manila menus and smoother transitions is a good prime candidate for the latest Juicy iteration.

It is better than the _TEST version of manila 1922. The latests 2011 removes the junk that didint work i.e. footprints , laggy pictures and laggy documents tab,but resized the entire manila for better view in landscape than either 1922 provided.

I know an update is around the corner for you guys :)

my statement wasnt meant to 'be little' other chefs, but since this is juicys thread, as encouragement...and i did say "just my thoughts". so i still stand by my statement since it is in the appropriate thread; its not like i said it in another chefs thread, but to each their own...

by the way...i didnt know your dad, but i did know of the great work he did w/ custom s2u2 themes, top notch. nice to see the name agian on the board.

Juicy, As always you give us the stretch and then bomb us with some impossible to gauge super kick ass Rom. I'm holding tight waiting for your "R9". Keeping fingers crossed telling myself... Also having a problem with my phone freezing. It happens randomly during the day and I have to check it out often to make sure it hasn't. What's killing me is that it always freezes overnight even if I soft reset before bed. I use my TP2 as my alarm clock and it has failed me all week. This is my third time re-flashing the rom after going back to stock and clearing storage. This is also my first time noticing this issue. Anybody else noticing this? I will be reflashing again shortly. Everything else works great for me even the HTC messaging lag which I can deal with sometimes.

i can feel your pain...as alarm fail...has happened 2 me b4 but not on this rom.

it has 2 be a cab you installed thats not playing well w/ others. just hard reset an install few cab @ a time per day/night until you find culprit

I'm having similar issues with R8 phone freezes, without apps. When I saw 2011 came out I decided to try a ROM with it, so I went with MightyMike's project ROM. This ROM is by far the fastest most stable cooked ROM I have ever used. Granted, it's only been two days, but I haven't had so much as a single issue with it during that time. This SenseUI for Topaz is very stable and fast, even the "sunlight" weather animation works perfectly without slowdown!

I highly recommend you all try it, and sorry Juicy, but for the first time I have to say you've got some catching up to do... :)

Also, as a side note, S2U2 2.30 seems to have resolved most if not all of the bugs that were hampering previous versions. It properly locks all external buttons on the TP2, and even allows for integration with the lock button on the Start menu.

Yeah it's out on SsS rom right now - Absolutely AMAZING. Wayyy faster than the old manila - it finally feels like it is build for the TP2 (which it pretty much is)

i agree, i tried SsS R5 and the new manila is awesome. htc messaging works even when sense is disabled! i don't know how that happened, but i usually have to disable htc messaging in order to switch to a ui like mobile shell. plus it's fast and i love the addition of the delete button on the email tab in sense.

sss is like a loaner until juicy releases r9 :)

you might be right. the only cab i've installed that isn't a game or marketplace app is lock device. I'm reflashing now and will not install any apps that interfere with the standard operation of the rom. hopefully this turns out well.

im almost positive thats the culprit...i think it has to do w/, when it locks,in your case over night then it wont properly unlock when it needs to for the alarm to activate. so it would kinda freeze the screen...? dont hold me on it but pretty sure, if that even makes sense

i dont use the lock, stock or any other 4 the time being...but i am looking forward to santods manila/sense locker (port) to wvga...keep an eye out for it in the themes section. looks promising.

Mine started freezing yesterday too on R8. It's been 100% solid until yesterday. It also started retrieving all of my yahoo email as opposed to only the last 7 days. It's done the email retrieval stuff on every juicy tp2 release for some unknown reason.

I had to go to MightyMike's WAR ROM due to this. I am waiting for R9 as Juicy's are my favorite.

im glad i could help. come to think of it i believe when i 1st started having this problem and figured it was the lock device(dont remember which 1 exactly), thats the reason i dont use it any more period. i know there are so many other cabs that use the wm6.5 lock, so maybe you could try a new/different 1. but try testing it b4 you go sleep to make sure the alarm will work.

or like i was saying...im holding out for santods manila lock screen...hopefully soon he releases

Not too many people checking this thread out but i am still on R8 and love it. But i have been attempting to perform a backup using SPB Backup, sprite backup, and now resco backup and each one is giving me errors saying that the directories cannot be backed up. Anyone else having this issue? I have tried uninstalling each program and reinstalling it also attempted to reflash and try again but still nothing. Any help would be appreciated...thanks in advance!!!!

well there was really no way for me to know whether or not it was working even checking it b4 bed. case in point. i wake up at 5:50am to warm up my wife's car. walk her to the car. check my phone....soft reset. go back to sleep. 7:30am alarm to bring my boy to school. FAIL. at least that was last week lol. now what do u suggest for some really bad htc messaging lag and freezing?:(

the only 2 things i got 4 you on that...is either disable the 2.5 messaging an go old school, which is not my cup a tea. or every so often delete the txt. delete inside the htc messaging itself by menu/delete then agian go menu/deleted items...also go to the email pic sms tap the drop down arrow and check your deleted items or sent items, delete those. i think the delete option in htc messaging only deletes received txts and your sent txts will still be in email/sms. dont know why

also get memaid or similar app to schedule soft reset or/and clear ram/close all apps...things seem to run smoother after either of those or both. id schedule during time of day i dont use phone as often so when you get back 2 it its fresh.

Dude please you are beating a DEAD HORSE, if you read all the posts you will see that MMS does not work with Sense 2.5 at the present time. so you have to use the work arounds and there are quite a few of them out there too choose from, so have at it. At the present time it recieves MMS but cannot send, so you can go into mail folder and use the SMS folder and there u go----------SENDING PICTURES....WHOA=D>](*,)

I am having an issue with the location based weather. It keeps telling me "No weather data available"

I have searched everyway I can think of on all of the forums and cannot find a resolution.

If I manually put in a city it works great, but no location based information. When I try and "Update Now" it does not even try, it just says "No weather data available"

I have reflashed, Hard reset, and even went to Energy ROM to test. It works when using Energy ROM, but when I come back to Juicy it does not work.

Also, everything else works great.

Any ideas?

I think Juice is faking his own death or making us wonder if he was abducted by aliens. All I know is that I am looking forward to the next ROM as I'm sure it'll have SenseUI 2.5.2011....
