By making the regedit you're referring to, it will force the incoming text messages to be timestamped with the time showing on the phone's internal clock

The only kicker about this is that you will lose the carrier timestamp. In other words, if someone sends you a text at 2pm but your phone doesn't receive it til 5pm, the message will be timestamped as being sent by that person at 5pm

But if this isn't a big deal to you, then no worries. Making the regedit will fix your problem. And if you're scared about making the wrong edit or screwing something up, let me know and I'll be happy to cab it up for you

And to answer your question, no it will not affect old messages that were changed by that one cab you installed. It will only affect new ones coming it after you make the edit

It's a registry editor, so you could do that change razor posted.

Other way around Esch, setting it to 1 forces the phone to stamp the time, setting it to 0 uses the included time stamp from the carrier.

Thank you! I would prefer a cab but dont go to trouble...i think i can live with the double time stamp. One of the time stamps has the right time on it and my messages are in the right back and forth order which was my main concern.

Ziggy's right. One edit keeps the carrier time, one uses your phone's time. There is no double time stamp. You either get one, or the other

Which of the two options do you want so that I can cab up the right one

mmm, not sure. What do most people use that has this issue? This only affects incoming messages right because if you send a message at 10:05am thats what your phone will show regardless of when the other person gets it.

For example on the stock rom does incoming messages map to the carrier time?

Re: ║MightyROM.com║ ║Windows Phone®║ ║Sense UI 2.5║

I'll post both...

Use the cab posted below if you want to force the carrier timestamp

If that doesn't work for you, uninstall the one below, and then install ziggy's cab (click here to get it) to force the phone to stamp all incoming and outgoing messages with the phone's time

File Type: cab FixTimestamp.cab (1.0 KB, 57 views) Click for barcode!
