I've seen this issue posted elsewhere and experience it myself. IIRC, it's a known issue with 6.5 and it reverts on every soft reset.

edit: couldn't find a thread where I read this was a common issue - maybe it's just us two and my memory is bad.

On a related note, my backlight timeouts aren't persisent either Might 3/23/10. Whenever I soft reset they revert back to 30s/3m & 5m/never. Any thoughts?

After running about 10 apps at the same time I am struggling to get the GWES.exe over 6 MB...after two days I am sitting at 72% with no soft resets...still running smooth...I love the Beta Mike...thanks for everything...

GWES over 6mb??? what??? to be at 72% your GWES has to be higher than 6mb..i would think. Even at boot without any cabs, mine is over 6mb. Mine is currently at 19mb and has stayed there and i've hovered around 70-72% for two days.

I actually got rid of the back key (it's a bit redundant don't you think?) and configured it to start up the google search app (and with cookie's home tab, get's rid of the internet tab!)

Google search app is a lot better than the search bar in the internet tab, it actually gives suggestions as you type, much like the actual google page (and it gives short cuts to google maps and gmail, youtube and w/e else google has in their arsenal)

Any chance that the new ROM has either cooked in or someone could throw together a cab that would make it easy to have Opera Mini as the default for everything? It's so much better than Opera Mobile 95% of the time, and this is my only current annoyance since links in emails, the twitter tab, etc. all launch in Opera Mobile by default. Thanks in advance!

Been running mine allllll day with a shit ton of emails and calls and texts...as well as some internet use and GWES is hovering at around 40770kb right now. Things are still smoothe for the most part. It has lagged a bit but not to the point where it is bothersome. Running at about 72% currently.

This also includes running CHT too. Next testing will be without it but I don't see it making much of a difference...just gonna have to see.

im running CHT it as well. been hanging around 19mb gwes and 70-72% usage, which according to the boss, is in an acceptable range.

To all the beta testers that are trying this masterpiece has anyone experience any SODs I was having sods like crazy the last rom tried all the suggestions and nothing fixed it. Hopefully that issue has been resolved. Can't wait to try it when it gets released

I just had one 5 minutes ago!! was browsing the internet, it got frozen then the screen turned black and I could not wake it up.. had to pull the battery out.

Had one last night. Just after browsing internet as well. Wasn't sure if lockdevice might have caused it though. Soft reset and have yet to have it happen again. Then again I am beating the hell out of this ROM to make sure all is good too.

Which beta are the people with the Screen of Deaths running? I have been running the std beta and have not had a problem....
