you could always hunt down the icons in the windows directory for what to name the replacement icons, did this once on energy but it is a very tedious task.

Each folder in there labled mycpl.cpl,## is an icon that you can change...the other folders are the folders in the system folder which you can click through for further editing....just click on the 'Icon' string value to change...

No Caller ID

No Caller ID in Full Force

Anyone else experiencing that?

I got about 5 ot 6 calls while using Full Force and each time I couldn't tell who was calling until I answered. Luckily it wasn't anyone I wanted to avoid. The phone would ring but the screen would stay on the HTC Sense home tab and I'd have to answer with the hardware send key. I'm on Sprint and had CHT 1.7.1 and CHTEditor 1.7.1.1 installed, not sure if that could have caused it.

Was it just me? Maybe a bad flash?

I switched to SE because of that and now all is well.

I've used Google Maps with both FF and SE with GPS and did not have any noticable GPS lag. Not sure why you experienced that, but just so you know I don't think it's the ROMs since they work fine for me.

Did you run Quick GPS first? I did. I didn't try any GPS apps until after running Quick GPS. Maybe that's the problem?

Does anyone know for sure, FF and SE version have SIM Toolkit (STK) or not? I'm using this STK for mobile banking on GSM network. I have download & used OF version and confirmed that OF has STK like the previous ROM. TIA

Edit: Found 2 files called \Windows\SIM_MGR, assuming 1 is .exe and the other .lnk. And one called SIMSecurity. Also: STK, STK_UIPPC, STK_UIPPC.ex.... Does that answer your question?

The icons cannot be made any bigger because then they would be too big for the taskbar...taskbar icons are max 32x32....

For the last 2 mornings, I grab my phone off the charger, it freezes and then hard resets itself. I am running FF.

I always do the flash dance when flashing a new ROM, but if FF continues to do that I can't run it.

The only mods I have installed are Arcsoft MMS, Cookies 1.71 and Conflipper Weather Database. Can anyone help? I've had to set it up 3 times in less than 24 hours :(

I think I would:
#1 use Task29 instead of the dance.
#2 Uninstall/disable your add-ons one at a time, starting with Conflipper.
#3 If you have to do another hard reset, run it a day without any add-ons. I ran the FF Beta for a few days with out problems (currently on SE).

After spending countless hours reading in the PPC Geeks forum, mainly in the Mr X and Mighty Rom threads, nagging questions keeps hounding me. It takes me back to my younger days when I was a devout fan of Super Hero comic books. Every super hero (and most villains for that matter) had a secret identity. One they could use in every day life among "common" people. The other, usually dressed in a brightly colored costume, where they freely display and use a super power of some kind.

How about that they BOTH have links on the Mighty Rom web site? Or that so many cabs out there have BOTH names attached to them (provisioning, tethering, etc)? BOTH have used the same sys version 21889 for the last several builds.
Has anyone else noticed this, and if so seen other similarities that I have failed to mention? Maybe they are business partners. Maybe they are good friends. Maybe they are friendly rivals. BUT, then again, maybe they are truly one in the same!
The only problem with this line of thinking is that neither is a meek and mild mannered personality, and BOTH are super heroes in their own right.

Does anyone know if certain games even if they are not running could freeze ur phone ive had to soft reset manually three times in the last 24 hours im just guessing if maybe its the games because I have a number of apps and tweaks installed and I like every last one of them..Ive experienced freezing or extreme lagging with almost every rom i tried so it must be something im installing..i kind of doubt the games are the reasons why..I'm pretty confident it maybe the Cookies Home Tab..because after i started using the lock with cookies on other roms i experienced less stability issues. So with that being said does anyone experience freezes and have cookies installed or if u have cookies what are your settings..do you have more than one page of quicklinks (i have 2)

Cookie Home Tab is perhaps one of the top mods for the TP2. No way it's that...by itself. But you had stuff on top of it, especially out of date games/packages...that could definitely be it.

As we tell everyone, start from MR scratch, add one cab at a time and go from there. it's not the cookie home tab, so you can add that first, but add one of your "games" at a time and you'll find the culprit.

You will not be able to flash via the standard .exe method using activesync/wmdc as there will be no OS on the phone to load. It will just hang at the boot screen, which is why you need the .nbh ready to go

@ TLJester - Copy the RUU_signed.nbh to the root of the SD and then rename the file to RHODIMG.nbh then insert to SD card to the phone while it is off then press the power button and the volume down botton to go into the booloader and will boot from there. Good luck

i already had the cookies lock disable because it was causing stability issues on othr roms..but i just remembered i had sod issues on the previous rom when i didn even use cookies so its something i keep installing from my storage card

Surely somebody else as pursued this!? (Particularly if you've used another ROM or kitchen that had the Ezinput 2.1 package with noarrows [e.g. the cursor arrows that use a half an inch of valuable screen real estate!].)

BTW -- raising the PP to 24 with SE sure makes a nice improvement in overall responsiveness with CHT loaded.

a little off topic but wanted to share this, was over on XDA and found a cab that install almost all the transparent mods for all the tabs. installed it on FF and is great, saves me from installing like 8 different cabs its just rolled all together.
