This happens to me occasionally on all ROMs, it's usually when the light it just dim enough that the shadow of my fingers shuts on and off the keyboard backlight. You might be just now noticing it, it's very subtle.

The only 2 things I didn't add to that list are the organized start menu and a custom 'loading' spinning wheel animation

This isn't a bug. There is a sensor on the keyboard that is incredibly sensitive to light. If something as minor as a shadow from your hand passes by in certain lighting conditions, it'll flicker like crazy

To fix it, just shut it off. Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Buttons -> 'Backlight' tab, then un-check the box

I'm seeing an issue I've seen on EVERY single custom ROM I've flashed, and that is that the keyboard will occasionally stop working, but only in the SMS text box in Manila, it also won't smart dial, and the arrows on the soft keyboard don't work either. A soft reset fixes it, until it comes back. Also, is anyone else seeing Manila flicker quite a bit? I think it has something to do with CFC compression but I'm just a lowly flasher who may or may not know what he's talking about :) Anyways, anyone have any suggestions on either of these? Maybe even the Mighty one himself? lol. I'm on FF, by the way.

question on that... I had the custom wait cursor when i first flashed. I installed a custom taskbar which i think reverted it back to the standard 6.5 wait cursor. is it a huge pain to get the custom one back?

No worries. You can install it again, but you'd have to ask Mike exactly which one it is so that you can track it down and find the cab/files...

the problem is thats just a list for SE... and if im not mistaken the AutoProv is on OF as well, as well as RAM bleed fix's... so it still leaves out what exactly is DIFFERENT between the 2... since what it seems is he took OF and then added stuff/tweaked stuff to get SE... just wanted to know...

I like SOME of the custom icons and other stuff but the top taskbar is too small for me...

The eye candy is the only difference. SE has the custom taskbar, the custom icons, the custom loading wheel, the custom theme (purian's), and the organized start menu.

The underlying core (the kernel, sys, manila versions, etc...) are the same in OF and SE

I noticed the default lock screen is retarded and the silly red icon shows constantly and I couldn't stand it. I'm probably going do a landscape version as well tomorow. Who wants to get with me and get all these cabbed up when I'm done? :D

Here's what I did:

A tip for those running the mod to move the right menu key over.

There are some apps that need that key to initiate and action (ie, changing the wallpaper in titanium). To get around this, I used the keymapper found here and mapped the "Back" hardware key to this action. Back and whatever that key is at the time (X, Okay, Done, etc) work close to the same anyway.

To map this key, install the cab from the above link and run. Go to <Menu> <Add key> and hit the Back button. Click on + next to "Actions" and select "Emulate Key Press." Under "Key" select F6 and then check the box that says "RWin" Hit "Ok" and then <Update Config> on the left side.

You should be good to go!

I'd like to see that lockscreen cab when you're done...looks interesting, I'm partial to s2u2 myself, but I could be persuaded!

Attention Sprint Users!
I know, you want your sprint TV and Nav tabs back. In fact, some of you installed Vin's cab and broke manila. Well, Vin was kind enough to fix it for mikes ROM...

This cab also installs the TV and nav program. Special Thanks to Vin for everything! All I did was test and post.

So, find a vin post, thank it, enjoy!

You do not need to uninstall your current copies of sprint nav + tv, this will overwrite them....

The first cab I modified so it had the icons I like (look mightyish - gadget1 made them) and made proper shortcuts, the second is the original cab he made and sent to me that installed and works. My modified copy should work fine, but it is untested...for now...

Hi all,
I like the SE version. However, has anyone noticed the icons in the taskbar are rather small or am I being the only to experience that? Is there any way I may make them bigger? Other than that I`ll say the ROM is working beautifully.

Thats how the icons are...I guess I think they are ok for size...no smaller then stock icons...if you want something different install another taskbar...just be careful about which ones you install...

The icons cannot be made any bigger because then they would be too big for the taskbar...taskbar icons are max 32x32....
