Hallo,

I have tried to instal:
MightyROM_RhodiumW_052410.exe
MR.X_RhodiumW_2.1_03-03-10.exe
MR.X_RhodiumW_2.5_Release.exe

but all the 3 installations get stuck at 0% in the progressive bar.
nothing is flashed so I can use my old windows 6.1 (with Touch Flo 3D) after removing the battery and started again the device.

how can solve this problem? why cannot install?

all the 4 steps required are fine:
1. connected,
2.battery more then 50%
3.active synch connected
etc..

attached a picture with my current data at start up..
a shop did all the unlocking etc..so I dont know what i have (I think Manila).
If someone can help I will appriciate.

I use 'JSPAProgramManager-v3' to sort my start menu...it works but where I am disappointed it does not sort alphabetically so is there a program I can sort the menu AND alphabetically?

If your in a low coverage area, and if you don't have EVDO your battery will not last that long.

Also check your settings for updating weather and how often you sync your email. If you have push email, try syncing every 2 or 4 hrs. that will increase the battery life.

Well I dont use push email, the only email account I have is the hotmail one that windows live created for me.. and those settings i cannot change.. coverage here is good.. full signals all the time.. and EVDO is not available here..
should i shift back to windows 6.1? Maybe that would give me a decent battery life atleast!

Re: ░░░░ MightyROM.com ░░░░ Windows Phone® ░░░░ Update Available!

Going back to 6.1 will definitely save some battery because it does not have all the data hungry applications in the background. Remember that when you don't have EVDO and your working on 1x data, your phone has to be on longer and has to be pulling information for a longer time to get what you need done.

A couple of other considerations before you flsh back.

1. make sure your location updates are set for something like "every 12 hours". I have my weather update only twice a day. I found that it will keep trying - and use a data connection - until it can update and that consumes battery life. I mentioned that because you said you dont have evdo where you are at.

2. Wifi and bluetooth. If you are not using them make sure they are off.

go into wireless settings and turn off wifi and bt as well as "direct push" if it is turned on and see how things go before you flash.

I'm heading back out to the lake now.

Have a good day.

Someone a few pages back was looking for a way to get the wifi switch on the homescreen. I found this set of screenshots over at ROOTROM in the CDMA TP1 discussions.
I'm going to dig a bit more and see where that feature comes from first time I've seen it.
NOTE: THe pictrues below are from a TP1 ROM, not Mighty or another TP2 ROM. just used for a reference.

Well those are cookie addons.. still in beta stage but been available for sometime now... I think!
Also I have tried all the battery tweaks to-date.. turning off everything and everything that uses data connections.. and the battery is fine.. turn on something like a browser or msn messenger and boy oh boy.. the battery dies like anything!
shifted back to the stock 6.1 that came with the device.. lets see how it performs.. anyone has any ideas where to get some 6.1 custom roms? NOT with sense 2.5 ofcourse.. that is too buggy..
Thanks in advance!

MightyROM and DRM

Hey guys,

After an exhaustive search I have yet to find an answer to this. I use my phone as an MP3 player when I'm working and need DRM support so I can use my Rhapsody subscription tracks. I've flashed MightyROM only to find out it won't be recognized by the computer as a compatible device.

How do I go about getting the DRM support in there? This is really important to me. I don't want to go back to the stock 6.5 Sprint rom, but may have to if I can't find a way.

Thanks for the help.

boggsie 05-30-2010 10:29 PM

Re: ░░░░ MightyROM.com ░░░░ Windows Phone® ░░░░ Update Available!

Grrrr ... why doesn't this work!

Code:

If (FileExists ("\Storage Card\_TRANSPORT\silence.wav"))
SetFileAttribs ("\Storage Card\_TRANSPORT\silence.wav", FALSE, FALSE, FALSE)
 Copy ("\Storage Card\_TRANSPORT\silence.wav","\My Documents\My Ringtones\", TRUE)
 Else
EndIf

Simple enough mortscript to copy a wave file from Storage Card to My Ringtones ... doesn't work.

I'm going to format the card to see if that might be the culprit.

Best regards,
-boggsie

Any plans on a nice, updated Titanium ROM? I am feeling drawn to simplicity lately with all these crazy UI's:rr:

Saw WHAAA!?! :rr:

It is HTC Sense in the ROM...he leaves his ROMs clear of add ons, other than his SE version ROM...

Also I believe he prefers to make his ROMs have a stock look but the custom feel...so a Titanium ROM probably won't happen...he did have a ROM a while back called VOID but I think it had some issues and was discontinued....

Yeah, I know its HTC Sense. I just have been reading all the Hype about MaxSense and someone in MM thread asked him about cooking it into his ROM. I say heck no!

All I am saying is while everyone else seems to be going "Balls out" with customizations, I seem to be reverting back to "Simple and Stream Lined".

I have posted the same question several times the past few months including a mesage directly to Mike with no reply or solution. I even had a friend who owns one of the largest e.book and audio book distributor solutions (DRM protected) work with his programers and me to troubleshoot the phone with no luck.

It must have something to do with the Winmo software identitY.

I hope we get a solution as this is a huge commercial limitation.

Re: ░░░░ MightyROM.com ░░░░ Windows Phone® ░░░░ Update Available!

Mordy, I just flashed for the first time (went very smoothly), and the info in your posts #3 and #4 was very helpful. Thank you. Started ppcgeeks reading about MR last December; read thru the 1500+ pages in the prior thread, then read all of them here. I figured I couldn't flash until I had read every post, and I couldn't catch up until now that it has slowed down a little!

Since the experience is fresh in my mind, I have a few suggestions for your FAQ (post #3) that would help newbies like me (assuming helping newbies is of interest ;) ).

First, how about defining some terms in your FAQ: "clear storage," "hard reset," and "bootloader"? You have some excellent info on why & when to do them, but you don't say HOW to do them. For instance, "clear storage is done by settings/all settings/system/memory/clear storage (in 6.1) or settings/all settings/system/clear storage (in 6.5.x)." Maybe hard reset and bootloader should be in post #4 where you discuss specific providers if it is different for each provider.

I was able to find how to do these by searching thru this forum, and it probably is in a general TP2 forum sticky somewhere, but it would be nice to have in the FAQ here.

How about step-by-step instructions of how to flash if we are using Task 29, which it seems is becoming the recommended method? Eg, "Replace instructions 2-5 in post #1 with the following: 2. Download the Task29 and Mighty ROM of your choice to your computer -- these are exe files. 3. Make sure everything you want to save from your phone is backed up or on the SD card. 4. Follow instructions to run Task29 here. 5. Put phone into bootloader mode (see above), and connect it to your computer with the USB connection. Then run the exe file for Mighty ROM and follow the instructions."

It was a little confusing, because you start Task29 with activesync, but the flash starts with bootloader, not activesync.

Also, as I said over in the Task29 thread, you should warn us that some of the instructions given by the RUU cannot be done. For instance, there is no readme file. Also, since we just ran Task29, we cannot make an activesync/wmdc connection. But that's ok, since we started in the bootloader.

By the way, do we still clear storage after the flash if did Task29?

Another idea for the FAQ: an explanation for how to flash using the SD card.

I would ask Curtis if this info should be posted into the wiki, but I never see him around any more. :(
