Does this rom have any registry hacks incorporated? I am used to using the Clean-Up cab but didn't this time. I may hard reset and run the clean-up cab if tweaks aren't incorporated. Good idea? Does that cab play nice with this ROM or is it unnecessary because it has a lot of the tweaks (especially battery saving tweaks) built in?

I do have Cookie's customizations running (and LOVE them). Would the Clean-up cab play nice with that?

I have no idea what could've caused that, so right now I did a SR, running at 15044, gonna leave it like this for a while and see what happens.. I'm thinking since I was pushing the hell out of this ROM by downloading like 200 emails so I could clean out my account lol, and for fun I put it to DL entire message.. But I noticed it happened after I downloaded a pic to send to my friend, I left Opera on for maybe 20 mins then noticed that after closing it I only got 2% RAM back

probably has hundreds. Don't worry about that Clean-up cab. You'll be fine as is.

running great here. at 60% steady. ytube works, exchange email/win live, sms/mms, etc. i added cookie so im sure it would be lower than 60 but running real smooth with it. Nice work Mike!

I just used Google Maps 4.1 today and noticed that my gps location is a little off. Is there a fix for this? Also anyone know of a free video player that will work with WVD?

hey guys so I have a problem here..
so my phone's screen will just turn off randomly and wont come back on no matter how many times I press the power button then will randomly come back on a few minutes later..if i'm lucky.. sometimes it will take much longer.. the one way to fix it is to remove the battery but at the moment my phone is in a case that makes it almost impossible to take the battery cover off unless i want to get out the screw driver so usually that's not an option. anyone have a clue what might be going on?
also my phone is suppperr lagg crazy.. one time i just wanted to check the time and it took my SIX minutes for me just to get to the home screen to check the time I seriously almost threw my phone on the ground in anger.. it lags SOO much and i'm starting to get really frustrated with it.. i usually just don't even want to deal with it so I do everything that I COULD do on it with my itouch simply because my itouch wont take 10 minutes to get to the weather screen or something like that..
anywho.. anyone's help on the subject would be great!

Did you restore a lot of text messages or have a lot on the phone? Mine only does this once I have several hundred to over a thousand on there, the more texts the worse it gets. Soon as I delete the texts from my phone its fine again.

Shortly after installing everything and listening to 30min of music, gwes went up to about 38MB.

About 2 hours ago, I soft reset my device and since then have listened to 30min of music. gwes = 38.3MB

Seems Ragster and I may be in the same boat. Do I have any "problem" programs installed?

Just got an SOD. Phone went to sleep while accessing /Windows in the native file explorer and will not wake up.

I gotta say, I have been pretty happy with MIGHTYROM s in the past... not this time. 3 hard resets in 1 day, horrible performance... ughh.

i'm still @ 21 mb gwes without a reset all day... so i don't know what's up with you guys lol!

my gwes will get up to 47mb with just normal use ...

fb app,rss reader, and some light web browsing ... gwes keeps swelling

I am not sure what I have done wrong, but I am having issue after issue. I have had an issue twice today where my music sound(manila music tab) was broken after a phone call; i.e. music playing>phone rings>answer call> hang up>timer continues counting as if music is playing but I have no sound.

I will try a fresh flash and see if I still have issues (gwes swelling, SOD, music mute).

mike, i long for the day that i can use my touch pro 2, and multi task . without lag. but i dont think it will ever happen. its not your fault. its just a mess of an OS. Opera is a POS memory hog. There is memory leaks everywhere. I wish there was a task manager like the palm pre, man thats my biggest gripe :( win WinMob

hey mike i dont know about programming and so fourth..... but i wrote the devoloper of task facade on xda-developers last year in may 2009 this message. i think its a great idea, but i dont know how to program and i know its possible since the developer of the cube released his source code.

GWES is at 16 mb still for me after my reset, but in its defense, been watching the Sharks game ever since so yeah lol, well test more tonight

eh its all good, lets not put too much emphasis on it. I have done tweaks to it for improvement, but I suppose for the usual blasting it with apps throughout the day, it will naturally grow.

In any case, let me know if you guys find anything else out with the rom :)

This is out of nowhere but check it out. I got my TP2 Oct 27th last year and love it. It was shipped with WM6.1 and I eventually flashed. Last week I called in Sprint's insurance to send me another one cause people said they couldn't hear me very clearly. I dunno if it's b/c I'm a Sprint Business class customer but I did not have to pay any deductable so long as I phone in my claim. Anyways the new one already came and it was loaded with WM6.5 with the new Sense UI. But I still flashed back to mightyrom's latest release which i had on my old broken one (i dropped it quite a few times, heh).

Here's the thing, the latest ROM update was the only one I ever flashed on my old phone and the first one flashed on my new one. So far the new TP2 device is amazingly faster than my old one. I know there can't be that much difference in hardware but it's something I clearly notice. I compared the 2 phones before I sent the broken one back and a few things changed including the battery ID # and logo on it. It's all very interesting but I'm still figuring out this world of PPCs. I thought I was nuts but I played around with my friend's TP2 that he got in '09 and it's much slower. Any thoughts on that? I didn't think it was Mike's ROM but who knows.

Hmm.. I'd love to be a beta tester of the new ROM. I would be worthwhile to show off at the next Windows Mobile meeting on Tuesday. Three of us keep showing off the new toys to compete with the iPhone users. They might have us beat on apps, but they are a bit jealous of some of the stuff we can do with our TP2 devices.

Ok, loaded the beta. It's running VERY smooth. I like the auto provisioning it does, but as a few others have said it would be nice if the screen were edited a bit to identify or disclose that it was provisioning. That being said. I've loaded a bunch of stuff and have no issues, no real lag. Going to let the battery drain for a few hours and see how it does. with lots of use, skype, opera etc. Right now, all I can say is how the heck does Mike keep improving on perfection? Lovin it.

Guys,

Here is what I have done so far.

Task29 Wipe
Installed the SE Beta (Love the Auto Provision!)
Cleared Storage
Installed my MMS Cab
Changed my Home Screen Tab Order
Setup Quick GPS
Verified my data and voice/texting was working
Setup Activesync for Work
Added two Yahoo Email Accounts
Free Memory after doing just the above is 65MB
Free Memory after a Soft Reset is 90MB

Can someone help me understand how your getting those GWES.exe memory numbers?


Issue:

My Phone states it is unable to connect. I am running the stock program from the ROM. I verified my same login creditentials via my desktop MyPhone Login.

EDIT: This is now working.




Wishlist:

Would love to see the WM 6.1 Snooze Time options back and cooked into the ROM. I cannot see anyone not wanting more options than Snooze for 5 minutes and Dismiss. The CAB I uses is the cRaCKw_HoRes Snooze Options which is in the paperclip to the Forum.

Would love to see the Mark All As Read (I believe it is called In Box Extender) option cooked into the ROM.

Would love to see LockDevice V1.6.2 cooked in the ROM so that people have the option to auto lock on screen off or on.

Edit:
Would love to see the Battery Poll Interval set to 25000ms vs 5ms.

My TP2 wouldn't connect just last week after a new flash of the 3/23 ROM. Here's how to fix it:

START / SETTINGS / CONNECTIONS
Click the ADVANCED tab
Click SELECT NETWORKS
Set both options to SPRINT and click OK.

That fixed it for me. It was strange because it always worked before, but it's also been working ever since.
