there's an easy workaround to fix the problem you, and many others, have with custom roms. you just have to install this modified prl here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=107

Hello everyone,
I have been learning from this community for a while now and now need your help. I have flashed MightyRom to my TP2 before successfully. I now tried to flash MightyRom FF and am encountering a problem of Flash Write Error 226. I previously ran Task29, get to bootloader and try flash the new FF rom but get stuck at 21%. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Your download might of gotten corrupted, download again and retry, but to make sure your phone is ok, flash to stock, if it boots up, flash FF again.

Well, I downloaded the Sprint stock rom and with the phone in bootloader and the USB connected, where it read "USB" on the bootloader scrren, I attempted to flash again to no avail. I got the "Error 226-Flash Write". I got as far as 26% but still get the error.

Any more ideas as to what might be wrong? I am not able to establish an Activsync connection. Could that be it?

i've read that this error can happen from corrupt download. try pullin out the battery for a couple minutes. then try to flash the stock rom again. make sure you're using the stock rom from the htc site. get it here http://www.htc.com/us/support/touch-...int/downloads/
