and ur saying they only built 6.5.x for moving forward to wp7?

It's NOT a FF issues at all it's a Windows Mobile 6.5.x issue. Basically the OS is leaked from a developer and What Mike has done is make it incredibly useful. there are no phones out there that are using a Retail released version of 6.5.x that I know of, and Microsoft is now putting all there efforts into Windows Phone 7. Basically we are using a discontinued OS.

If you want no issued and something with less problems move over to is OF Version. FF is for those that don't mind a few hiccup's here and there for the Eye candy and benefits that it Does bring than stick with FF.

By Far in my opinion Mike has turned FF into one mean Machine with all the perks and very very little of the downside. I think Mike has fixed just about everything that can be without writing the OS from complete scratch.

I hope this helps you understand better.

Which sucks (except WiMAX perhaps as a lesser standard than LTE? maybe). Telus is supposed to be getting the HTC "Triumph", which I'm PRAYING is either the HD2 or the Android version of the HD2.

I'm sure there will be a TP3 sometime in the not-too-distant future anyhow... When did they announce the TP2? At MWC last February?

We can all keep our fingers crossed, for a TP3 and for WP7 customizations.

Not that I know of, looks like the HD Mini does but I don't it was built off that OS, but don't quote me on that lol. A lot of people have had issues with slacker and not just FF users.

Feel free to chime in here Mike if I am missing something lol.

FF looks like the HD MINI (my intentions) but it's not based off the same sys build.

completely different.

I'm sure. Once I get home and start running the WiFi router it starts draining. Not incredibly fast by any means, but more than the rest of the day. I would say with a full charge I can get 2.5-3(ish) hours of WiFi Router running non-stop before I have to plug the phone in. I don't think I'm ever gonna flash again just cuz the battery life is dang awesome!!! then again... I dont think I could turn down a new MR if/when it drops...

1. I get the same battery life with FF under almost the same conditions.

2. The TP2 is a "World Phone" and with the sim card installed will work on GSM networks so it is possible that he has a CDMA TP2 on a GSM network. Good though that you pointed that out just in case he has the full GSM variant.

David

I'm using CDMA. It is the "World Phone" that comes from Verizon.

You're battery life can be all over the board the first several days after flashing. Best way to find out what its gonna be like is just wait a few days, and soft reset once or twice during the day.

I tell you what however, if I have to pay that $10 on top of my SIMPLY EVERYTHING plan... I think I will do 1 of 2 things... switch to TMobile for the HD2 (though the service for me is complete crap with no comparable plan) or stick with the TP2...

Which I might stick with the TP2 simply since mike doesnt have an HD2 to cook with LOL :D

EDIT: I need to make a correction to a post I made a few pages back, while the ORIGINAL Airave did not support the higher quality 4G (not to be confused with 4G as in LTE/WiMAX) SMV voice call codec, the new Airave (same design as the Verizon one, by Samsung with the hidden GPS antenna) does!!! (this was GREAT news! for me at least... everyone sounds better and everyone says I sound better!!!)
