I agree. Lets try to stay on topic.

I won't continue, but for the record, we were comparing battery life based on usage, so I don't think a discussion about how realistic described usage is is off-topic.

I'll take the person that said he did 1000 texts/day at face value if you guys will, though.

Sorry.

Well. I was going to jump in here and call shenanigans on the 1000 texts/day. But I called my kid and she verified that she can text 1000 texts/day. All i can say is WOW!!! Texting that much would certainly have effects on the battery I would think.

Carry on men!

I can through my 2 cent's in, when I have a heavy day with text it for sure eats my battery life, when I get into maybe 150 to 300 in a day thats a easy 30% to 40% difference in my battery life dropping compared to my normal usage.

Well then, that makes a bit of sense as we all agree that the more texts that are saved up, the slower Sense is. So, that would mean that the processor/memory is having to work harder, thus the quicker battery drain.

In essence, it's really not a Mighty ROM issue so I can see the reason for frustration as the posts add up discussing it. But then again, things have been slow areound here as we anxiously await something new to flash so we have to talk about something. :-)

Maybe we could start another TP2 thread regarding the number of texts/day and get some input from other ROM users and see how it impacts them. I'd be interested to see.

Just thought I'd throw my experience in here.

Last night, my phone (Stock VZW ROM, WinMo 6.1) decided to take a dump and not let me do anything because it kept thinking it was trying to do work pulling a Yahoo email.

Anyway, since I was getting pissed at it, I figured that I might as well flash it (I had already had it unlocked for a couple of months).

I downloaded MightyROM_RhodiumW_052410 and installed it. Upon reboot of the thing and full recovery of my contacts, etc...I tried to go to *228, 2 and do a PRL Update. PRL Update failed, saying it couldn't update my phone. I tried again and did a *228, 1 and got the same message. Reboot phone, and repeat procedures, this time doing *228, 1 first. No dice.

I did a little research on the forums here, and learned about the VZW Provisioning Cab (even though it was my understanding that the ROM auto-provisions). Before doing anything, I tested voice and text and data...all 3 worked, even though I couldn't *228. I finally found the Provisioning section of the ROM, and saw that it said Telus. I changed it to Verizon and hit "Commit" and the phone rebooted. After reboot, I tried *228 again, and again it failed.

I called it a night since it was getting late. I went in to work this morning, and did a bit more research on it, hoping to fix it. I discovered somebody saying to try ##RTN#. Tried that, and it failed. I then tried *228, 1 again, and this time it successfully programmed! I have no idea why or how though, as my signal strength at home is 4-5 bars, and I am lucky to get 1 bar at work.

Any clues as to why this happened?

1st...I would flash the updated VZW 6.5 rom to get the new radio HERE

Typically I flash the new rom, once loaded I *228 and hit 1 to program. After that I clear storage. Once rebooted, it usually auto provisions.

Can't say why it's not working for you, just wanted to post what has worked for me.

My "hidden" task manager in upper right corner of home page stopped working. Is there a setting somewhere that could do that or any ideas what I did? I'm not sure when it happened.

The hidden start menu (upper left) still works fine.

I just loaded my wifes TP2 with this great ROM and it works fine and that's when I noticed mine stopped.

Thanks!

Ok guys Im really in need of your help. I have Mighty ROM official installed MightyROM_RhodiumW_032310 and SPB mobile shell 3.5.4 on top of it. It was running fine until this morning. Im on Sprint and the phone works fine but I get no data connection at all. Opera mini says unable to connect. IE says cannot connect with current connections settings. And tethering cannot connect to Sprint. Battery pull and soft reset do not work. I don't want to have to clear storage as I have everything set the way i like it so any help would be greatly appreciated.

May be a network thing. I'm in Tennessee and had trouble connecting to the internet with opera last night. I just chalked it up to a crappy connection but on second thought, I wasn't able to get opera to connect at all. Usually I'll get part of a screen.

I'll see what happens later today while I'm at work.

Manila CFC Compressed has 3 dll's and one exe file that are used for Manila...

Manila Files CFC Compressed has all the #####_manila files in it which are the graphics and images of the tabs...basically most modz for manila use these files...

As far as which version...it would depend on what version of ROM you have...032310 is for 03/23/10 and 052410 is for 05/24/10...

Are you installing something that requires you to compress? If not I would leave your phone as is...I haven't tried it out personally but theres really only a small minute difference in speed just the way its packaged....

Okay, thanks to Mordy and Hookah, I got a screen shot of what I am talking about. How do I get rid of that bar below the time and date? Or looking at the bright side, maybe it is a feature?

My lock screen looks similar, with the taskbar at top, then the sliding lock icon below that; however, the "bar" at the bottom that has the time and date is not at the very bottom of the screen. Instead, there is another bar, about the same height, with the same calendar icon as my Sense calendar tab. Oddly, the calendar icon on the lock screen says "30" on it, even though today is the 31st. The sense tab has "31" on it.

Repeatable -- does it every time. Soft reset did not fix it. Same issue whether using regular lock or lock with pin. I did set a different background for my home screen as opposed to my lock screen. Once I figure out how to undo that, I will try that to see if that fixes it.

Did I find a bug (forgive me for even thinking it, MM :notworthy:), or do I chalk it up to 6.5.x video glitches?

You mean where the calendar is you cant its a 6.5.5 glitch here try this lock screen it will move your slider to the bottom and make your lock screen better with no glitch :)

Edit Added Screenshot Of what the lockscreen looks like :)
