:(](*,):( no idea what is going on. my phone again froze on a screen and then as soon as i turn it off with the call end button it hard resets by itself. It never did that i am am always running pretty much the same stuff. I was on the original mightyrom..no issues...flashed to FF and it hard reset itself randomly 3 times....flashed to SE and it did the same. I flashed again back to original and i am scared to load even cookies home tab or any of my cabs. I also can get task29 to run. Tried it on 2 pc's now and even went to bootloader mode one of the times and i keep getting that file cannot open error i mentioned before. Very discouraged at the moment :(

its done with cookies home tab and cht editor...it allows you to customize the homescreen in diff ways. You can find it in the themes and software thread

Followup- Since my last device was a Treo 700w, I didn't have the variety of stuff to check out or connectivity options as the Pro2.

So now that my feet are wet, I thought I'd share the results about what I learned. Asking this question prompted me to do some easy tests.

I ran 15 mins of Slacker over Wifi with a couple of texts - 4% drain. Then ran another 30 mins of slacker with nothing else - 5% drain. So, roughly 10% per hour.

Then I ran an hour of Slacker over Ev with nothing else and it used over 30% in 1hr :confused2:

The number may have been skewed a bit since the battery hasn't been cycled through, I'm thinking that sucker dropped pretty fast after it got under 15%.

And some discharge readings, just for fun. :mrgreen:

Idle (Screen 50%) - 135mA (range is 80 to 130)
Idle (screen Dim) - 70mA (range is 35 to 70)
Idle with WiFi active - 300mA
Idle with 3G - 375mA
Slacker Wifi with speaker - 350mA
Slacker 3G with speaker - 425mA

I've dropped a bunch of cabs on this ROM and it's still solid with tons of battery life. The WiFi/3G just burn it up, that's all.

Ok so I can't remember who exactly asked me for it...but here is somewhat of a preview of what I have in store...

Been working on it for a good 5 hrs now...the screen below is just a photoshop preview...meaning it will look similar just I through a couple pics together so it can be seen...

Love the Mighty SE Rom and its working super fast. The only issue I'm having is Bluetooth. Every once in a while Bluetooth won't turn on. I get a error message saying "Bluetooth cant turn on due to (something) stack. A soft reset fixes the issue but a day later it comes back and I have to keep soft resetting it to fix the issue. Any idea's?](*,)

Something is wrong on your end...battery life is outstanding....

ACR Version 1.2.3 is by far the best app fr this....I been using it for a long time on all roms.....

So I've got the default lock screens reworked. They work and everything fits great with 12-hr and 24-hr time settings. Arrows animate on all lock icons and notifications work when you tap the locks as normal. Also I enlarged the hitboxes for the locks to make things easier and obviously the slide locks are on the bottom by default. See Below: 8)

LOL .. Yea dude, I can tweak the originals for ya's .. Getting pretty close on the New Blackout, and i'll be able to throw some extra's / tweaks to the originals & addons.. I'll get that together for ya, should be very easy :) I'll always be able to help if it's within reason and someone not asking to tweak an entire theme lol. !!

yeah i love MR... but Mike has a BAD habit of not including DEFAULT registry entrys... this is just one of many i find annoying...

I would have to disagree...some builds have things set up differently...so not every registry entry is default...if you don't like it then go back to a Default 'Stock' ROM...

There are simple ways you can accomplish things without saying that kind of stuff...

If I were you...I'd either...1) Backup your "Default" registry entries to install at your liking when flashing updates...or....2) Go back to Stock...and be default...

yep, when i mentioned it last year i got my post thanked to quite a bit (i tell people not to hit the "thanks button" )

IIRC it went something to the tune of someone saying it wasnt included because it wasnt default and everyone didnt like 7bar (or couldnt use), and i simply said that was the reason it has a DEFAULT value... A few other things i mentioned that where missing DEFAULT registry entrys that I got thanked on... stupid thanks button... 2 years registered keeping it at 0 and now look at it... 220... (and of course tj likes to argue with everything i say so i ignore him now)

I just wanted to give another nod to Mike & the work that he has put into his ROM's. Although I was on FF Beta, I decided to check out SE, and all I can say is WOW! Consistently running 70%-80% with Co0kie's HT and tsowen taskbar. Life is good for a n00b!:headbang:

he makes quite a few things my ex-coworkers like, so if i see an update on them i email the links to them, and I never truly put anyone on an ignore list, too much is missed with an actual ignore list

EDIT: for all the things I say annoy me (and dont misunderstand me either, its not Mike himself, but some of his decisions), Mike holds a top spot in my chef list, there are only 2 other chef's I would EVER leave a MR to try/use, DCD and no2chem, I "might" add Mr.X to that list because of his "relationship" with mike... but ill keep my top3 for now

The problem is default for Sprint is not default for every single provider out there. The default signal strength is 5 bars with no registry entry, Sprint however uses a 7 bar and that is why an entry is needed to get Sprint default. However since Mike is on Telus and not Sprint and Telus uses 5 bars, that would probably be the reason for his leaving it that way.

If there is no reg entry for SignalStrengthLevel, as it is in Mike's ROM, it defaults to 5 bars. Therefore the argument is not invalid. Unless your entire complaint is instead of changing a value to 7 you have to add the entire key. Not sure why it's such a big deal considering you can toss a reg file in XDA UC and have it install for you when it does other installs. Which is how I have mine setup.

meh, to me (and the people who had thanked me a while back) it is invalid, seeing as the the last time I played with the 6.1 EMU I had SignalStrengthLevel present, well also invalid, as its not in mikes its by his choice (which i was only saying was annoying), but going by the logic set forth of going trying to make the OF rom as STOCK as possible this just doesnt fit in the puzzle (i would quote where tj and mike where talking about OF and STOCK, but im lazy)

I like vanilla wafers thank you very much...

EDIT: I restore sections of reg using a program, but since I see it said TIME AND TIME AGAIN, i just thought i would let him know, hes not the only one who gets lost, and i know its mikes rom, but since the OF is a "Stock" rom it should have some things like a stock rom, and since Sprint accounts for a large portion of the average community I would see it as common place to think this should be "Stock" (as would anyone who has ever thanked me or posted in this thread about how to get 7bar, and complained that the key isnt in the registry)

EDIT2: reminds me of the "DisabledComponents" in Microsoft Windows Vista and 7 to disable IPv6...

Back on track here...sorry Mike...

Anywho...well I stated back I had some things in the works for the taskbar again...check this out its another minor tweak to the Desire taskbar that comes with the SE ROM...

This cab is (SE|OF|FF Compatible)
Make sure to have the Desire taskbar installed to have the full effect...

Below are the screenshots for the icons I added...I changed the 3G icon so it no longer has arrows under it, then I changed the 1x icon the same and made it without arrows...

Second is v2 of the SoftkeyBar(SE|OF Compatible)....this adds the Desire top bar color to the bottom...if you guys like the Desire taskbar you like it....:thumbright:

Thanks to Dark Ninja for providing the excelent taskbar this is just minor tweaks that I did...the rest of the credit is his...

I just flashed FF...love it so far. But I'm finding the ultra tiny top menu makes it nearly impossible to click the upper right hand corner to close opened programs. Is there any way to make the top menu larger/longer in length?

Ok, I believe I nailed down why the HTC Manager and email/sms notifications stop working for me. I installed DarkNinjaDeisre Tackbar for wm6.5.x(Battery%) and the notifications stopped. Uninstalled it and everything started working again.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a tut for taskbar creation? maybe I can zero in on what mod'd file is giving me agida.
