Alternatively you could just use Firefox with Adblock plus installed and you won't ever see those banner ads or need to worry about them. Though sandbox is even safer method.

Also, if you have Win7 Profesional and a multi core CPU, you can run it in XP mode. ALA sandbox in a virtual machine. XP mode for Win7 is a free download from microsoft.

Regarding the spyware and exe's not working. uh oh.. sounds like a bad case of "windowsxp/vista security suite". Its a bugger of a trojan loaded with spyware that is a PITA to get rid of.

Hope you get it worked out. btw, if you get a popup that tells you to buy the "premium" edition to clean your computer, DON't! Your credit card will be at the mercy of the idiot who infected your computer.

I don't believe this has anyhting to do with banner ads. I like to think I am pretty computer saavy.

Looking back at this mess, I firmly believe that it was a situation of not paying attention enough, and simply clicking on the wrong download link that was presented to me.

After running FF, now back to OF beta, I have to say I (personally) prefer 6.5 from OF. I mean, no issues AT ALL, visual or otherwise. The phone and menu buttons are in the same location on the home screen as FF, but without the boxes or circles around them. Start menu is in the same place as FF, but visible at all times.

Don't get me wrong, FF was sweeeeet, but the official rom kicks arss. Can't wait to see how SE is gonna blow our socks off!

I have not been a fan of the 6.5.X, I have tried it on and off for the last few months. but I have to say that FF has me sold from running it so far this week. I have been cooking ROM's for my own personal use (not all that well at it but enough to make it work) but I am just sold with this one and don't see anything to change unless FF gets updated again.

I'm looking forward to Official.. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I will try FF.. but I've never like the 6.5.5 roms. I have a feeling though that Mighty may just change my mind.. however, I know that I'm going to enjoy Official.(without the soft start button)
I use my hard start button 99 percent of the time so I was elated when I read that Mighty had removed it...

Ah, I prefer to route my web traffic through a virtual machine setup like a honeypot, just to see what kinds of fun I can get into. Granted, I rarely get to do this nowdays, as my young boys take almost all of my waking hours up in their fun!

So, for those of you that use a bluetooth device, are you running into any unexpected or unusual results?

I ask, because a couple of times this week, instead of playing caller id information through my headset (Announce incoming calls), it has played through the actual handset. In this scenario, I could hear the actual ringtone in my earpiece, but the voice command announcement would pipe out over the handset speaker.

I think I have a regedit that may work for this.....let me scrounge through the reg to try and remember it.....I used to use it on TP.....shoyld work on TP2..will post it here when I find it....

I have as of the last 24 hours. no problems here and battery life was great all day. following the suggestions in ac's faq helped with increasing performance and minimizing battery consumption.

Allllrighty, I have been running FF for 3 days with no soft resets and charging every night, I have not had any issues other than when I finally tried to install a cab today. It would not install. Not from Resco or File explorer. I would click and nothing. Everything was fine, mem at 75% no other issues. Bluetooth and data connections worked and all apps I ran worked fine. Once I did a soft reset, I was able to install the .cab. sooo :drunken: don't know what was up with that.

Personally, I have never liked 6.5.x I just want my little friend to work without any glitches.

But this creation of Mikes, man, I haven't even tried the OF release and most likely will stay with the FF. I always used the back button for tasking and don't miss the soft start button at the bottom. The only gotchas for me are easy cosmetic fixes like the no close on "x" and no soft reset link. easy peasy fixes.

So, in closing, even if you have no interest in 6.5.x ROMs, I really cannot recommend enough that everyone try the Full Force (should be called "freakin magic") ROM, you will not be disappointed and will most likely have allot of fun with it.

So yesterday I anxious about the new ROM arriving I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Today I went to the doctor and they gave me anxiety medicine, seriously.

Don't rush the ROM, I like quality, but I am anxious and for good reason. My whole department got TP2's and guess who is in charge of them, ya heeeeerrrr.
