**THINGS NOT WORKING**

Well i should say "thing" you can not have a foreign Radio running , if you are on verizon my ROM will work , you just have to flash a sprint stock radio . Trust me this is being worked on as it pisses me off i could get on average 3 more bars running a verizon radio then the sprint radio but when you flash another radio other than sprint , it LAGS like a mother effer . just letting you guys know . im in the process of trying to fix it .
enjoy :)

Provisioning Cabs attatched , just select your carrier and install then you should be golden !

thanks man! only 46.84 MB size big? wow haha :D

Re: userROM JUST RELEASED !!!!!

that makes it the smallest 6.5 rom if not the smallest rom to date, ill try it as soon as i get a new battery for my tp2 since the one i have in it now always overheats and dies after less than 3 hours of heavy use (where id normally get almost 5). I also plan to release my own rom and a spanish language version of it as soon as i can figure out y its not booting.

elesbb 12-18-2010 01:43 AM

Re: userROM JUST RELEASED !!!!!

lol thats only the 7.zip compressed size .. the .nbh file is 198 mb . i had it to 120 without a lot of the HTC stuff working .. i wish i were that good :P

however the ROM is uncompressed . i am pretty sure i got rid of everything that can be taken out with it still being fully functional.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/tp2-androi...6-5-6-1-a.html this is the smallest ROM probably.. only uses 9mb of storage memory and has 138mb of program memory.....

its only for using the absolute basic core to get XDAndroid to boot off winMO though...

Looks like a great idea! Ill test it when I have the time, im actually currently running freeza's ROM as its just been the absolute fastest ROM i've found and I really have no bugs with it at all! If this is 6.5 and has all the stuff working this could be my dream ROM

Hello all,

Can anyone compare userROM with Maverick's ROM from a stability and speed? I've been on Maverick's ROM for several months, but it starting to feel slow.

Hello;

The thread.post is there, but the links to the roms included in the op in that thread return invalid or deleted file response from the file host.

Agreed, and you should reformat your title of this post to assist people in finding this ROM. Including the Rom Name, Data of Release, WinMo Build, will help. So something like |ROM|userROM|21916|DEC 18|Barebones. Also, some screen shots are always appreciated :-P

Can't wait to try it...=D>

Yes this is 6.5 and so far even with overclocking i have had NO SOD in the month of using it . and yes all the stuff is working . i too used freeza's ROM and that ROM the camera didnt work and a bunch of other things . so i did get them working but i use SPB Mobile Shell and i noticed in Landscape view the graphics seemed to lag .. not sure why . so i figured why not make one of 6.5 which i did . and everything works . so far perfectly .

Hope you try it ! :)

Re: |ROM|12.18.10|6.5|userROM|21916|Barebones

Impressive, on startup, only 7.60 storage memory used and 126mb program memory free.

Edit, over all thoughts after playing with it for a while. Not meaning to insult, if this is your first public rom, just some things to help you out.

1. It really needs to cleaned up, in the start menu there is about 5 folders (from the default HTC folders) that are empty, if you go into Program files you will see a bunch of "Sprint" apps empty folders as well.

2. It's not really a "universal" rom as it's more customized for sprint (menus like Location settings show sprint and other things in the rom). I guess this is not a big deal as everyone who replied to this message besides me is on Sprint (I'm a VZW customer). After flashing, it connected to VZW fine and I was able to make a call tho..No data tho

3. It needs a com manager, only on it is a Phone/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth one, nothing for a data connection.

Over all pretty fast and lots of memory but, no eye candy is right, just the default theme with 6.5 menu. It's a nice rom if your on Sprint and want to only really run Android or start from scratch.

I think I will move on tho....THanks !

Re: |ROM|12.18.10|6.5|userROM|21916|Barebones

Fast and stable so far. 109.62 mb free with SPB Mobile Shell running. As DavidinCT said above, a real Comm Manager would be great to have.

Overclocking is a bit tricky. I'm still trying to find the right setting combination to keep SOD from happening (one so far).

Great job overall!

Please read above.. It's a Barebones rom, nothing in it, all ready for you to install everything you want if your a Sprint user.

Barebones=Nothing installed

I think this rom is pretty cool, but I am having a problem with quickgps and its location settings. everytime I try to turn it "ON" it keeps tuning its self "OFF" ...how can i fix this?

Well I noticed that check mark for automatically decline is not visible, so maybe its something in the Reg files...I would look and try but I dont know exactly where that section is located lol

I agree with this, the ROM is great and quick but these little quirks are keeping me from it, the sprint issue doesnt bother me as I have sprint but the quick GPS, comm manager and empty folders bothers me right now, Just fix these issues and Id have a keeper on my hands

Re: |ROM|12.18.10|6.5|userROM|21916|Barebones

hey
tried the rom for a couple of days.
liked the extra ram and storage space.
but was having a lo of SOD's. phone wouldnt power on on pressing the back light button.
Also every time the auto lock went on the screed would black out and the phone wouldnt come on except for a SR or a call to myself...
had to boot back to a more stable rom...
But IMHO its a good rom if you can sort out the SOD issue.
Btw I did TAsk 29 and clear storagge before i loaded the rom so a bad flash is kind alow possiblility??
Cheers
Krazy

Ok, I got the data to work with some issues, but I am not pursuing them as the on screen keyboard will not let you switch to anyhting but the default. Try it, unless I am missing something.

Thanks

yes I am having the same issue , totally blows my mind . I noticed that if you tap like really close to the bottom it will bring up the menu . I'm working on fixing it , I'm guessing a registry malfunction . thanks though ! for now just change it to the most used in the registry or use a default imput application on these forums .

im currently working on the empty folders thing . I remembered reading about files which create the folders and such on a thread on here im trying to find that thread again so I can fix it . And I purposely cooked out the comm manager to save some space . The current comm manager has a data disconnect menu if you tap the bottom right softkey . If you still want the old comm manager , I will work on cabing it up for you . Thanks for trying though :)

not exactly getting at your point .. you need a carrier cab for verizon to get the data to work . just as you need a carrier cab for sprint . try installing the verizon carrier cab and let me know if it works . again im confused as to what you mean by the menus show sprint ????

3. It needs a com manager, only on it is a Phone/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth one, nothing for a data connection.
It has a data disconnect feature in the menu list which is the bottom right softkey .
