You're talking about just the tv out package in the ROM and NOT with that .cab installed right?

So, before changing the registry data, plugging the cable in would do nothing. After having changed that registry value, plugging in the cable now works to open the TV Out app, but the apps orientation isn't acting as it should.
Is that a correct assessment? |

Re: ★SharkieROM★4/24/11-Updated★Version 5.0★Generic\Sprint★29007\21916★Sense2021
When it's set to 0 on 4-24 it acts appropriately. When you change to the value to 1 the PAL screen (Pic-2) auto pops up even when the cable is not in. Seems when working correctly it should be at 0, then when cable is plugged in it sets itself to 1 to activate the PAL screen. 0 being off and 1 being turned on.

Re: ★SharkieROM★4/24/11-Updated★Version 5.0★Generic\Sprint★29007\21916★Sense2021
you can make a tv out cord yourself, i have a diy cord.
i cant say it has ever worked cause this is this 1st i tried in a long time but just hitting the tv out in settings will give you that pop up message of optional cord. the only way it should work is if once plugged in it gives you the setting screen as stevo posted. i dont know what the settings mean just know that ntsc works for me. on the beta the setting screen wouldnt pop up once plugged in, like it wasnt reconized. the cab i posted basicly bypasses the cord detection. so you can open exe from cab and get to the settings screen thus tv out display w/out even plugging in the cord. this shouldnt be the way it is but auto detect/pop up once cord is attached. sorry just realized, your phones were stuck in landscape b/c it thought it was still in tv out mode. if you open/tap exe/lnk from cab agian it will toggle out of tv out and back to portrait. hope this helps explaination a bit more on top of stevo help. oh yea bout that diy cable. you need a rca cable (3plugs on 1 end; red, white, yellow) to a 1 plug (3m? type plug) then you need a htc old school 3 way adaptor (when you had to have phone charging and could have headphones also attached) then you need to open up the adapter to remove a pin and your good. there is a thread on it here or xda (tp forums) works the same way. its not as simple as my explaination but not hard either...kinda fun actually and hella cheap if you have the stuff already around the house. if you want i can take picks of my diy cable?

Thanks KJ. Here's a couple easy links, never bothered , just knew PAL gave me B&W and NTSC rendered in colour. I wiki everything but somehow never seemed the need to do this one. Hmm?
