Flashed to the R1. Thanks Sharkie for cooking it up. Been using the phone full time now for a little over 45 minutes. At 75% from a full 100%. Yesterday after the flash I was below 50% from 100% so seems better after 45 mins.

Originally last week, it took a few days to really notice. With my normal workload I was getting almost 2 full days between charges. Like Straightup, the last ROM was only around 4 hours. I will report back tomorrow.

btw... do you have the "Classic Blue" theme in a cab?

All the classic blue files are still in there, only the .tsk is missing. Here it is. Put it in your \Windows folder and it will show up in "Home Settings". I'm not sure if I removed the stwaters (start menu backgrounds) for the classic blue. You may get no start menu bg at all. You'll just have to set your own. I can post the default classic blue bg if you need it. Actually nevermind, the stwaters would be inside the .tsk so you should be good to go.

So I was thinking that maybe I'd make a Verizon specific ROM since so many of you use Verizon. Are there any Verizon specific tabs/apps and what not like Sprint has? If so, names and links?

Well - struggling with ActiveSync and contacts with this R1 ROM. Almost half (150 contacts) are not coming down from the Exchange server. I get the error "The following contacts failed to synchronize from the server:" I have reflashed twice and get the same error. Afraid I am going back to CE v2.0 R4 tonight. Only issue I had with that one was the volume issue. I will miss the Action Links. Next weekend I will try to plow through this ROM version again.

copy the action links cab to your pc or storage card and install it on the R4

I might have a quick fix for the contacts syncing issue... hang on if you've not flashed yet...

Shoot - already did .... I Google'd for awhile but did not come up with anything. Let me know if you find anything - I can try again perhaps tomorrow evening with the R1 ROM.

I do think I have something but it involves replacing a .dll file and so I've just come to learn making a cab that installs a .dll is not as simple as making a normal cab. It's something that I'll definitely learn to do, but not something that I could put together in the next few minutes for you, so no biggie.

I'll upload another v3.0 R1 with this "fix" for you either tonight or tomorrow and you can test that one out for this issue, if you'd like...

Perfect Sharkie - thanks. Would love to try the fix. Help others first if they have issues though please. I usually don't have time to flash except for weekends. All depends how far behind I get at work each day

if not too time consuming, could you post the Action Links cab and the cab for reducing to 3-wide icons on the sub menus?
