i been meaning to mention this 2 you but always lose track and then noticed this thread that reminded me.

the same day the poster w/ google maps issue, just the other day. my google maps would not get a fix on sats. i was clueless cause it has never happened. then another said to double check quick gps (but i remember changing that to auto dl) so i did and everything was checked except active sync/pc option, so it should auto dl when expired but it didnt and it said in red expired. so for some reason the quick gps doesnt auto dl like before. or maybe i never noticed, i dunno? but the only way to actually test is to wait 7 days. the thread that popped up is from other roms as well here

Thanks for pointing this problem out. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any more info. on it. In the meantime, I can't say that it's something I'll ever be able to test out as that would mean I would have to not flash for a week, which is probably never going to happen.

hey sharkie, flashed the 29xxx and happy to report running strong and zippy even with a low memory on start up. giving it a god workout sitting at the bar ( her choice). sure ill be in trouble sooner than later. lol! love the removable cabs. don't use co0kie 2.0. did run it on the last flash. removed it and installed the 1.8.5 cab. can not get the weather to stop! any chance for a one off 1.8.5 with no office? lol.

thats what i mean too, i dont know when this started on what rom/beta or what cause i think it never got up to 7 days. so its kinda hard to tell :scratch:

Low memory on start up?? How much free space, do you remember? You said the weather won't stop. As in weather animations on the home screen? I don't remember having that issue... I can't remember the specific CHT Editor settings for weather animation on v1.8.5. I'm assuming you've checked all of those?

I don't see why I can't throw a CHT v1.8.5 with no office together for you. :)

I never use quick gps and google maps works fine after added I added these regs.May be it will help:

Did the usual htcRIE ( way underrated tool)and removed any provision/languauge cabs and any alerts/alarms/ringtones/avatars/ect I don't use just to trim the fat. Most of my normal cabs are precooked thanks to you (mostly use mini5 now; however leave in 9.7). Booted up and removed MMT and co0kie 2.0 (left in last time to try it out, just too much in it I personally don't use) Booted w/64 free memory. Last flash was around 80. Still ran smooth, strong, and fast though. Installed a co0kie 1.8.5 cab and yes tried the normal weather ani none settings and could not get the clouds to turn off. Finally, google maps would not locate on this run (last rom was super fast. what gives? who knows?) Mess w/it tommorrow. You know how these things go. Sure i'll fix that. Love what your doing. Thanks to these great new systems and your tireless hard work flashing is more addicting day by day. "itchin for a new kitchen" LOL! Can I talk her into it?

BTW don't use office, IF you have the time and want to cook one up I WOULD BE HONORED!
