Re: Updated[12-04-10(CE-29003)]★SharkieROM v2.0 R1★Generic\Sprint[21683\21916][Sense2

flashed 23009 with pp at 16

fresh flash = 80 meg free
installed cabs, SR = 78 megs free
provisioned/prl/update,OC 729/604/500, SR = 79 free
installed start menu replacement then WinStartBeta4, SR = 94 free
removed sprint nav/tv, stock, music, twit, program tabs = 94 free

winstart is much better looking than quickmenu (looks like the traditional start with animation) though is does seem to lag a bit on first launch. Not completely sold on the saving 15 megs is worth the lag---but time will tell. I'll let this settle for a few hours and report again.
other than that 23009 is running very strong-I will try wifi tether today and see how it holds---i did also install mrx stealth tether hotfix and sh4ys raphael net speed boost..don't think that will affect wifi--so just fyi on that sharkie

3 pst on wifi..connect with no problems--posting with wifi too. winstart does have a 10 second lag. not sure if it is worth the extra mem, but it is easier to use than quickmenu.

Re: Updated[12-04-10(CE-29003)]★SharkieROM v2.0 R1★Generic\Sprint[21683\21916][Sense2

Streaming slacker radio to comp via wifi and accessing online accounts on my phone at the same time. no probs pulling email or sending sms---a slight delay in streaming to comp when sending sms but no loss in connection--1/4 - 1/2 second stall

edit
setup 2 email accounts and pulling all mail (50 messages)---no wifi stall

edit
setup FB account on ucweb while wifi to comp streaming audio with no stalls and 6 seconds to load my account on the phone

edit
no stalls when phone goes to sleep

Sharkie---I think you can confirm this wifi cooked into 23009 is a winner---again, I do have mrx hotfix as well as raphael net speed booster

edit
wifi to comp, ucweb loged to FB mem is down to 44free----not bad for the phone working that hard

Cool, thank for letting me know. I'm not sure how long you tether for but the problem before was that it wouldn't hold the connection. It would disconnect after a couple hours or so. One would be able to reconnect, but eventually it would lose the connection again. I did some work in this area, but at the same time I also switched to the WM WiFi Router instead of HTC's. So maybe the switch wasn't necessary after all. So, let me know how it holds up over several hours usage, if you ever use it for that long.

Great info! Thank you for being so thorough! That's great to hear. I really like the look of this one better than the WM one. What's MrX. Hotfix? I've Google searched it but didn't come up with anything helpful. Can you post the cab or a link to a thread?

Edit:
I found "Mr. X and MightyMike Tethering Tracking Hotfix.cab" in the NRG TP2 thread. Is that what you're talking about? Do you know what it's supposed to do. I have the IntShr.exe file that's in that cab in my kitchen. I've never heard talk about it needing to be replaced. Is there some inherent problem with this file?

Does anyone that has used them both know if there's any features that the WM WiFi Router has that would be missed if I used the HTC version?

ok thanks was making sure. no i wasnt saying the skin is cause but if i wanted to test out an uninstall of cht/then reinstall of the original cht (noskin) and was wondering if you had a seperate cab just for the skin w/out the core. but you answered its a all in 1

i always thought the look of htc router was better looking too. but the biggest grip i had w/ wm version was it was to damn confusing 2 me. i dont ever use it to the extent it had in options/settings and just didnt understand.

i think that mr x hotfix cab came out when mighty and others had those crazy tether bills after 6.5 first started comeing out. you already having the file in is already prolly the same thing. i think if someone had crazy tether bills they would of said by now so im assuming you dont need it twice
