when xda comes back online I will like the thread it is suppose to remove it from the home screen too so I may of missed a step in the instructions

Ya, I did see that and I believe I tried that cab, but as I have a 100 year old memory (not much of one) that is for the "Home Screen Tab" icons below and not the true home screen where the calendar is, right? Sorry I am getting terms mixed up, but I get confused when folks say tab because they refer to either the icon tabs you can customize or the home screen layout (clock/calendar/rss/shortcuts).

How have you been? Thanks for clarifying and sorry for the confusion and thanks for finding link to xda-dev that should remove from homescreen itself

Bored, have you heard anything on 21916? Wondering if that's more stable of a release than 21915.

Also, do you recall which files (manilla or png files like ListView/MenuSelector) have the blue highlights in your rom? Would like to toss some black ones on there... I am a sucker for black

One last question Is the newer keyboard layout (without up, down, left, right scroll arrows) that you use something concrete to ROM? Was curious how to use the older keyboard skin since it's a pain to scroll without deleting text if ya know what I mean. Thanks for your time and great work, sir!

lo stranger... yes, page back or so bored made a cab for shortcut. You can access quickgps by scrolling to settings on tabs, location, and download though. Welcome home

[SOLVED] Latest Manila Home RSS removed - xda-developers

that link is to the thread where I found that cab file.... it shows pics of what the cab actaully does....I'll be honest thought, I never used it cuz I rather like the rss feed there ( something new i guess lol)

21916 has some buzz going on from what I read but I tend to hold up just a few cause it seems alot of new builds get alot of talk then turn out to be dogs


manila files - friend there is many of them... almost 20 or so but I will see if I cant find black highlists somewhere for ya


I've always went with no arrows on a keyboard just something I never really cared for. Normally if I'm using the onscreen one I just tap my thumb where I want the cursor. BUT as always I'm open to suggestions and we may work something out for that. Even if its an addon after the flash.

Ahh, well I can certainly extract them from the rom and find replacements. Just wasn't sure how to change them without browsing through .png or manila files manually Maybe you can find a black .tsk that handles the blue highlights, unless this is separate from .tsk's.

By all means, don't go out of your way if I am the only person who prefers the arrows. I try to use my thumb a lot and find troubles when editing things and not able to get the cursor all of the way to the left and have to backspace through characters and retype. If you do run into an easy fix, please do share
