I'm going through some strange issues:

1. Removed Sprint SIM and the phone did a Hard Reset
2. Phone got stuck in SMS, got back to today screen, hit soft reset, stuck on first splash screen.

No cabs, just active sync and facebook login.

Chris, just finished flashing to stock and back to this - on stock I was able to log into Twitter, when I flashed back to this ROM I'm not able to log in... just gets stuck on the login screen and eventually goes to "There was a connection error while attempting to login".

edit: I just installed Twikini and was able to log in fine with that.

Did you use Task 29 or flash back to stock before this ROM? Might help if you do that, and after you flash do a clear storage... that fixes issues like what you're experiencing.

I'm about to do that, Task 29 wasn't working, so im flashing back to Sprint Lover 6.5.3, then Task29, then 6.5.x again

It would be better if you flash back to the shipped Sprint ROM then back to this.

It shouldn't matter because you are doing Task 29 anyway, you are wiping everything

To check for myself, I set up a Twitter account and I also could not log in on the 6.5.X rom (The windows wheel just kept spinning and data remained active)

I then flashed back to stock and I also could NOT login. The app kept spitting out errors. I got connection error's and also incorrect username/password errors although everything was entered correctly. It may be a server issue on the part of Twitter and after donig some reading it seems like it has happened before.

Hey, checking out your ROM for the first time. So glad to see a 6.5.x version! I'll give you feedback as things arise.

Quick question: how can remap the settings button in the start menu so that it does not take me to the settings tab in manila?

Thanks and looking forward to it!

If you check the Sprint Lovers 6.5 thread. There is a cab there called original settings cab and that should do it for you. I could tell you the long way, but why?? There is a cab for that.

Dont know cuz when I press mine I get a cool drop down of this thing that looks like Touch Flow but with these different icons. And I dont know why everyone is having problems with Twitter. It works fine for me. I even just got an update. I love the sound of that little birdie.:)

Twitter works fine as of this morning. It was most likely an issue on their end last night which was causing problems for people.

Rom runs great...the only thing I dont care for is windows key > settings...I expect to go to all settings instead of being returned to settings in sense ui...is there a way to modify this?

I still can't log into Twitter/HTC Peep either. I've flashed back to stock, did Task 29, flashed back to this ROM, cleared storage, and tried logging into Twitter w/o any of my cabs installed, and not able to log in - just gets stuck on the sign in screen doing nothing.

This was a question I had too and thanks to YoungPro for pointing me to the solution. If you go to the the SprintLover's 6.5 thread there is a cab pack available that includes a cab to change this.

Hmm..very odd. I just re-checked and signed in without a hitch. Possibly remove your SD Card when you reflash (just an idea) I know some people have auto-customizations that run when they flash a new rom. Perhaps something is causing a conflict.

Just a quick note to say this is the only 6.5.x ROM that I've actually kept on my phone for any period of time beyond looking at it and not liking how slow it is.

Great ROM!

Chris, just tried what you suggested - still a no go with Twitter. So I flashed to your 4/16 6.5 ROM, and was able to log into Twitter fine on that one. Then I flashed back to the 6.5.x beta, and I'm not able to log in again. ](*,)

Notifications Task Manager As Shown

Since the .cab found elsewere on this forum didn't work, I have setup the manual steps below to enable the task manager in the HTC notifications as it is done with the HD mini. If Sprint would of published this rom, they would of done it this way.... ;)

Replace NotificationsRes.dll in \windows dir with one in zip (original file already in zip also)
Import notifications.reg (run in file manager) into registry
reset device

Nice find however when installing this it seems to break the Notification Enhancement. I will give it another shot and report back.

Good point, I just noticed that also. Will see if there is a way to get both working. Don't know if Notification Enhancements work on the HD mini...

Speaking of the HD mini, dose anyone know of a way to remove the the start and the x-button from the bottom? so it can be more like the hd mini since we have the hard buttons already anyway.

Using a reg editor go to HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell/BubbleTiles and set all values to 1.

Use the Task 29 tool, or flash back to stock, clear storage then flash back to this ROM and clear storage again. Should help with your issue.

Does this include thr Mr. X/Mighty Mike "fix" for the gradual memory drain? I am thinking no because my available RAM is gradually decreasing. Am I mistaken?

One reason the notification enhancement with the task manager link may not work on our device is that the HD Mini is 128 DPI and our devices are 192 DPI. That may cause the issue but I'm only guessing. Either way if someone gets that task manager enhancement working let me know!

Not a biggie for me, I use ArkSwitch which works great! :D

Did anything change with the Twitter in this ROM from your 6.5 one? I still can't log in on your 6.5.x beta, but I can log in on your 4/16 ROM, the Sprint Stock and I tried a couple other 2.5 ROMs and have no issues with Twitter.

Yeah I love how it looks! To me no point in having a start button when there's the hard key for it... and no X button is not a biggie since the X doesn't close out of programs on 6.5.x roms anyway. lol

Once the updated NotificationsRes.dll is in place the following registry key will turn it on or off. It looks be the only key needed for the task manager within the notifications to function. Other than the new quick bar at the top being no longer available, what are we missing; A quick link to the clock?

"IsCom3Project"=dword:00000001

I will check it out again and see how it works and report my findings.

UPDATE: The new entries/.dll still seem to break the notification manager. I am yet to be able to get it to work. Are you using the included notification manager in the rom or are you installing something different?

I have a new theme already loaded and ready to go. I have opted NOT to ditch the Start Menu icon as if you disable that you also lose a few other buttons and I do not like things missing. I will however make a CAB for those who wish to disable the start menu icon and they can install/uninstall at their leisure =D>

Side note: I actually got the notification task manager thing to come up using a different .dll I located over at XDA. I am testing it out and will let you guys know but so far so good.

UPDATE: The new Notification Enhancement w/Task Manager shortcut is now working like a charm. Many thanks to Black88MX6 for the original post and the idea. This is definitely making it into the next update!
