I also used to have a similar problem when restoring contacts from Sprite. The contacts would be there but the called ID would still just show a phone number. Since using Activesync to sync everything, all works prefectly for me now. Try getting the contacts on your phone and then sync to Outlook and then resync.

My dial pad keeps on breaking on me. I have to slide the phone open then close, then I get the dial pad.

I've seen this happen as well, but it appears to work fine for me after sliding the keyboard once. I've not been able to reproduce the issue.

I have a somewhat similar problem. It seems that after a day or so, the names change on my People tab. the photos and the phone numbers seem to be ok but the names change to the first 6 contacts in my contacts list as in all the names change to the “A” names in my contacts. I am using active sync to sync my contacts with my exchange server at work and wonder if that may be causing the problem.

A couple landscape phone dialer issues.

When I have the phone keyboard opened and either hit the phone hard key, or the soft key on the bottom bare, the portrait phone dialer screen opens, and more often that not displays only the call history, not the phone key pad. If I then close and reopen the phone it will switch to the landscape phone dialer. This dialer has a scroll bar on the right hand side.

I'm using the latest download.

was sad 2 see you in the evo forum (chris)...honestly this rom is exactly wat many look 4 (stable, fast n STOCK) @ least me! and not many chefs (if any for 6.5.x) out there make em STOCK, always have themes and/or apps i dont use n take up space.

w/ that being said hope you can give us all a last or couple updates b4 completely taking over by droid

I get the dialpad issue, but if you just run cleanram real quick it fixes it all up.

CleanRam works very well but I found that if I selected HTC Sense under Advanced/GUI in CleanRAM Config, It would cause the names on my People tab to get all messed up. switched it to disabled and names haven't been screwed up anymore. Great Job with this one Chris

All of my Sprint Lover's ROM's are my own personal kitchens I built from a stock dump. My thanks in the original post to Mike, and Mr.X are for their help and guidance in situations that may have been encountered along the way with building/cooking. What is the issue that you are having? Remember that 6.5.X is not official and that some bugs are not able to be corrected.

I am a total newbie around these parts - in fact, this is my first post.

I want to download this, but I just wanted to ask, do I need to do a hard reset before I download this, or am I able to just download it without any pre-installation work.

I am downloading this because no matter what I do, my Sprint TP2 Win Mo 6.5 is glacially slow. Especially when it comes to text messaging and looking up contacts. I hope that this makes things much faster!

I Hear your pain and welcome aboard. you have a lot of reading ahead of you before you jump in and flash a ROM. start here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=93252 to read about what you have to do to unlock your phone BEFORE installing any ROMS. also make sure your using a ROM designed for your network ( CDMA vs GSM ) or you'll be the proud owner of a shiny brick before you know it. don't be afraid to try it but read read and read againand make sure you follow directions EXACTLY and it will save you a lot of headaches. I you run into trouble look in these forums and chances are somene has had the exact same problem and now knows the answer. good luck and have fun

I'v been using this rom since it was posted, and like other roms... over time it tends to feel slower. So lately Iv been using with windows default 6.5. home screen instead of the HTC sense. and that helps make the phone feel more stable and snappier (even though I prefer sense in general). But just now I figured I'd try this with the "ClearType" Disabled.... and I don't know if its just me, but now it feels even snappier! can anyone else confirm?

P.S. Battery life has never been better!

Thanks for the ROM, I was using the MaxSense ROM and I had to reset 5-6 times a day. With this, I haven't had to do that. MMS works with no tweaks, I appreciate you making this phone workable.

i just got my TP2 a few days ago and this is the first ROM i have flashed. I'm new to this so please be kind.

I really like this ROM so far but one thing is annoying me.

When i press the phone button it opens iDialer...
If i do it from the start menu it opens the normal phone but the button at the bottom does not. Can someone please explain how i can change this to open the normal phone instead?

I love this rom. It is a godsend compared to the original Sprint version. It's far faster, and more responsive than the original version. Even flash plays far smoother on Opera 10 for me (Don't get too excited...we are still processor limited, but it works!!) compared to stock. Navigating with my fingers is far more accurate and feels right.

My biggest gripe currently is the dialpad glitch. It goes invisible every so often. I rarely dial anyone since I have my contacts saved but it's like a smudge on a shiny new screen.

Are there any plans to update/fix the remaining bug keeping this rom from perfection or is this one of the issues that are inherent to WM that can't be fixed?

Does this ROM have the ability to put the phone on Roam ONLY? I have several trips over the hills where I loose the signal and simply want to be on Verizon roam full time. Used to be able to do it with a mogul, but stock my new tp2 stock rom doesn't have that option.

well i'm taking this off. in my opinion it has a couple of unacceptable flaws. the main one being this issue with the dialpad not coming up all the time. that alone has given me too many headaches in the short time i've been using this to continue.

the other issue (although i don't know if this is specific to this ROM or not) is the clock will not reliably change to the correct timezone. "My Location" will update fine and the weather will be correct but the clock won't change. To get it to change i have to change the clock from "My Location" to a specific pre-programmed city, wait a few minutes, then "My Location" will update and i can change it back. i passed through about 8 or 9 different timezone changes this weekend and had to do this each time. even if i just left the clock alone for an entire day it would never correct itself. Does anyone know if this is specific to this ROM or do they all do this?

Ah one of the joys of working with a custom experimental ROM is finding these annoying little bugs. I had the exact same problem last week as I traveled cross country and used the same work around you did. As I don’t cross time zones all that much, this bug is very minor to me. I suggest you try another ROM but be advised that they all have minor annoyances just like the stock ROMs. Keep trying until you find one you can live with or you could learn how to cook yourself and I am sure there are plenty of people around here that would help you and critique your hard work as well

BIG PROBLEM. In Switzerland. Using Sprint GSM card. Phone works fine, but no data, even though I subscribed to the Sprint data plan. When it tries to access data, I get a message saying "Dialed #777 The answering Modem has disconnected. Check your connection settings." What should I do?

I have pretty well come to the conclusion that this ROM makes the phone inoperable for international data. Sprint has a guide (http://goo.gl/3Ue9) and elsewhere on this forum I have been told how to use a specific Access point to make it work (It shouldn't have been necessary, as this should have been part of the ROM all along). But nothing works. Tell me it isn't so and that this ROM was built with competence.:protest:

Guy...First off, Don't come into a ROM thread and start demanding things when what you get is something you got for nothing. Second of all, 6.5.X is NOT OFFICIAL and it is clearly stated several times in the thread so that users can expect some bugs. I built this ROM for the people who constantly whined that they wanted a 6.5.X ROM even though it is not really my cup of tea. If you are having problems with it, download the offical 2.5 release which is based on the offical release. Aside from doing that, before you come into my thread questioning if my ROM was built with "competence" you need to think before you type as people like you will incline me to just close this thread and remove the ROM for everyone.
