yes the headphones I tryed the function with are the htc headphones that came with the touch pro (not tp2), and the last gen apple headphones, both have a single click button that doubles as the call answer/end and pause/play button... and the "send key(hold)" button if you press and hold it.

all of theses functions iv described have worked in your past roms like 4/16 & even the official sprint 2.5 rom.

I have a pair with this remote aswell. but this one was never compatible with any rom, so I don't expect it to ever be unless htc/wm releases a new rom that supports it.

i have noticed this on another rom but never bothered to ask or found a solution until now its got me interested..the 1st boot screen, the 1 that shows the radio an such in red text at the bottom left, it doesnt show that red txt 4 me. this happened to me on another rom for a few updates of that rom and then some how/time it came back. now that i flashed this rom (1st flash of beta2) it didnt show up agian and today i flashed the 5/9 and still doesnt show. i have not flashed stock rom in awhile and after task29 came out i tried that once w/ the original bootsplash (to get it black tp2 txt instead of white htc txt). its just weird, not that it bothers me either way, just would like 2 know if this has happened to any1 else an if they know the reason.

also this rom does seem faster, everything as listed in change log works as said (as if there was any doubt) really i havent noticed anything wrong or broke thats note worthy at least. besides the remove prog glitch, i noticed another in settings\personal\buttons\long press end key, the word action is cut off on the bottom...LMAO cuz thats all i noticed so far and i already went threw most of the rom

Anyone seen this during boot up?

It did come up enough for active sync to load and I do see that file in \windows.

This is a little window that pops up during bootup.

The issue being everything ran fine all day today, then I tried to run Opera and it would not start, so I hard reset and reran sashimi to install all the edits, but now it won't boot. Not sure why it worked initially, but not now.

I re downloaded and flashed three times and did get it to work if I did not install Bing so i left that out.

It was working great last night around midnight when I went to bed, but now this AM I started Opera fine, but now HTC sense will not start. I just keep getting the "press to launch HTC Sense" screen. Not sure what happens to cause this as the phone just sat there all night plugged into the charger.

Guess I'll flash back to the 6.5 Sprint Lover's as I have to get on the airplane today for a week of travel.

I'll try next week when I get back.

Edit: Upon hitting the reset button the phone starts a hard reset and fails with the message above, then hangs and I have to reset it again. This is exactly what happened yesterday. Eventually it will boot up as if from a hard reset. At that point I'll flash back to 6.5. This is very odd. When I get time I'll not install anything to the build and see if I get the same issue when I let the phone sit idle for several hours.

If you are running any kind of customization after flashing you are probably breaking the initial command to run the Sprint Customization.cab set to run at initial flash. I would suggest pulling your memory card out until flashing is completely done and the phone reboots.

This is completely normal and they way it is supposed to be.

*Also, in reference to the bootup screen (the white HTC log with red lettering) This is not something my rom changes as the Sprint Lover's ROM's are only the OS. If you wan tthe old black HTC Touch Pro2 logo boot screen back, flash to the original 6.1 Sprint Official ROM then flash to Sprint Lovers. If you want the white one with the HTC logo, flash to the Sprint Official 6.5 update, then flash to Sprint Lover's.

Chris,

Do you think it would look nicer if you can move the "phone" button at the bottom to the center and move the "Menu" button to the far right? This probably look more symmetrical. Just a suggestion.

Use the "Remove Start Button" CAB at the bottom of the first post and I think you will get the results that you are looking for.

Chris,

I run the customization manually after all reboots have completed and I verify everything that the original ROM image works. Nothing runs automatically.

I'm sure something got hosed somewhere in the customizations, but for now the original 6.5 works just great so I'm sticking with that until I get back.

Just redownload and see if that does the trick. I have not heard any similar reports so it may have just been a bad download.

as 4 the boot splash, i guess i was unclear..i do realize da white boot is from 6.5 n da black is from 6.1. i also already have just the original boot nbh w/out flashing entire rom, but wat im saying is i never get that red txt @ bottom left on boot up an was curious why. and i had the same thing happen on another rom just never bothered 2 ask

Okay, I am hoping to kill two birds with one stone here. I have attached a CAB which may fix your issue but is also due to my noticing that when turning the screen off while playing music, music stops playing. Unacceptable as far as I am concerned..lol This CAB will address that issue for anyone using my rom and this tweak will be cooked into the next release. that when i love in into the IM the spacing on the screen its not correct?

for example i go to the sprint IM (yahoo) and i cant see what im typing

I do this all the time, and didn't notice the problem with the 6/8 rom, but will try this also to see if I notice any difference. I do this mostly via bluetooth, so most likely that is why it was working for me.

Chris I need a big favor is it possible if you can cook the arcosoft mms threading instead of nonthreading. I usually install the flyers tweaked arcsoft mms threading cab but its buggy. I think there's a problem because I do not uninstall the one in the rom first b4 before installing flyers cab that it becomes buggy.

Like when i go to menu> new message it gives me these options:
picture message, picture message, video message, and sms message. I get two pictures messages for some reasons. Then I also have to be in the person's "conversation" and go to menu>insert>picture because when i click on the inbox menu>new message>picture message i dont see any pictures for some reason.

So if you can do this for me I would really appreciate it. I like having my mms inside my conversations I dont want nosey people to just see my mms laying around in the inbox lol.

Doing the threaded, the pic won't open from the manila SMS, it breaks it. With threaded, you click on the pic icon, then it takes you to WM messaging, then you need to click on the icon again to bring the pic up. With how its set up now, you click on the pic icon and it opens the pic up w/o having to go to the windows mobile messaging.

Hi guys, I have a general question about battery usage... not just 6.5.x vs 6.5 but in general. From what I heard, I thought using gmail via push email was better on battery life than setting your email to query, for example every 15-20 minutes. I recently switched gmail to using push email (ActiveSync - As times arrive) and noticed my TP2 battery life isn't as good; I only sync email (contacts, tasks, calendar are disabled) to prevent extra battery drain. I also disable location (GPS) and set the weather to only update every 6 hours. I even set my back light to 40%. Besides the task manager, is there any utility than can tell you what is running in the background and how much drainage it's doing? Thanks.

Also, my coverage at home is not too great 1-2 bars, so I enabled WIFI. When WIFI is on, I noticed sometimes I see the EV icon animated with data activity (the 2 arrows); why is this happening when I'm using WIFI for data; anyway to turn of EV data when WIFI is in use? I tried turning it off but it always comes on again.

When I click the remote while *HTC sense* is running NOW it redials the last call I made instead of pausing the music. and with *HTC sense* off it dose noting when I click the remote. press and hold still works in both settings though, and music now continues to play in HTC sense when the screen is powered off... so thats cool. I still want the start, phone, and menu buttons at the bottom but just re-arrange it so it more symmetrical such that - the start button is at far left, the phone button at the middle, and the menu at the far right.

Is it just me or has anyone else who uses the wifi internet sharing notice that it constantly goes in and out?? My wife is using Vin's ROM and when she connects to the internet sharing she stays on the internet for hours!! When I do it I constantly get and error and have to keep logging in and out of the wifi sharing for it to work, but then it goes out in like 10 minutes. Like now. I just connected via wifi sharing and I was able to get online, but I havent even been able to finish typing this message and already I have an exclamation next to my wifi where its gone out again. Any suggestions??

also I think I might have the cause of the weather not updating in the pm correctly, if you run the Sprint GPS fix, for some reason it puts your evenin and night updates times are still getting back in the am. So maybe we can put our heads together to solve this issue

it is the teathering fix how it is configured with the SIN card in, turn it off and back on and set everything up and you should be back on and running fine.

See thats the thing. I keep having to do that over and over and over and over. My wife like I said is using another ROM and she never has to do it. It never goes out until she gets a phone call or she calls someone while its on. Im using hers right now cuz mine keeps going out and I keep having to turn it off and turn it back on. Its getting really annoying!:x

Edit: Turn what off? The internet sharing? Or the SIM card? Because Im constantly having to turn off the internet sharing over and over.

make sure the temp shut down is set real low (I read so where that u can change it) or just off, so there will not be no high heat shutdown

Still running 5/9 with no issues. Also this is the 1st ROM I've been able to connect to the built in bluetooth in my car! :D LOVING THIS ROM!! :)

For those of you experimenting with task managers, I have been running both Ameba and Arkswitch at the same time without issue. Allows me to have clicking the X close the programs via Ameba and switch between open programs easily with Arkswitch. Pretty nice.
