Also has anyone noticed that there is no up/down volume bars when listening to music thru the musics tab?? Maybe just me?? Oh and here is a little secret.....Purians Blackout theme works really well with this ROM. No bugs what so ever. The Blue R3born looks good too! Just thought Id let u guys know if u didnt already.

Thanks for the compliments!

The softkey buttons are controlled by several variables including .png images as well as registry values for sizes and margins (typically found in whatever theme you have sleected (HTC Black.tsk). If you want to delve into what it looks like go into HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today and go through the different sub-menu's.

I just checked the Music tab and the volume control bar comes up fine for me on the left side when changing the volume up/down. (I am using the 5/8 release)

Ok cool. Im gonna play around with that and see if I cant make it work out. And as far as the music tab volume. I might have installed something that is conflicting with mine. Ill have to look into that too. Ill check it all out after this new release.

Chris, noticed in the 5/8 build graphics issues with the remove programs screen and that the music link on the programs screen is dead, is this fixed in the latest build?

The graphical issue with the remove programs page is common with every 6.5.x build I have seen and was mentioned on the first post under known issues.

As far as the Music shortcut, every one works for me as they should. The link in start menu goes to Manila Music page, the one in Sprint folder opens Opera and goes to Music Store, and the one on the homscreen also goes to Manila Music page.

Ok i must say I have become a believer..i was running MightyRom FF but i kept getting freezes and sods left to right. I havent got a SOD on here but I have experienced some freezing and massive battery drain but I was getting them on Mightyrom FF as well. The battery drain and freezing is due to Cookies however, and I think are related to each other. So I was wondering if anyone that is using this Rom and has cookie and was experiencing this what fix did you use? I installed the fix from the Cookie forum which is net framework compact 3.7.9 but it does not seem as if it's working yet, so is there any other fixes anyone can help me with please.

Chris I am really digging this Rom but I did have to get used to the constant flashing though since there is a new update every morning I wake up and every night I go to sleep..so when do you go to sleep man? lol :-)

edit2: never had sod w/ this rom but some freezes, possible due 2 twitter n fb updating (still on beta2, so this is not 2 report on updated release
edit:i dont think cookie ht will cause battery drain..maybe check ur weather update time, twitter, email an such

if you talkin' bout cookies home tab..honestly i dont see any lag, or little 2 none 2 make noticed. in fact as i type this on the onscreen kb, i notice more lag in this than cookie home tab.

but it all could be a factor of preference. such as those that dont like the lil lag w/ sense 2.5 compared 2 sense2.1 would prolly see lag in cookies too.

but if you wonder, settings are set: optimized, 4x4 (quick lnks not filled up) also have no flip clock.cab, dont use weather or animated wallpaper an seems smooth 2 me

I can't connect to any wifi using Spring Lovers ROM. I tried deleting the ROM, wiping the memory using task29, and reinstalling. Same problem. Tried a warm reboot. The Pro2 sees the network, recognizes correctly the SSID and the channel, but doesn't connect. I think at the minimum it's not successfully getting the IP address from the networks HDCP server. The network connects fine with other devices. Any suggestions as to what to do?

ok thanks

where can i get the no flip clock.cab?

Edit: ok I'm going to increase the time intervals for updating twitter and email see if that helps with the battery drainage. But first I'll flash the new rom and see how battery last without cht.

Love the latest release, Chris. I think there is a speed increase in addition the changes. Thanks much for all the work.

I am running CHT without issue is that is what the prior poster was referring to. Good battery life so far.

the no flip is on post 1

4 me i have the intervals set facebook on default 2hr (dont know if it actually updates every 2 hrs cuz it doesnt seem like it), twitter is every 30 mins (although i get new beeps "tweets" w/ nothing new all the time. kinda annoying w/ the false alerts) and weather is every 6 hrs, w/ email set once per day

edit: i also set the long press end key to turn data off and got used to doing this b4 i turn screen off, so thats a possiblity for my good battery that and i dont have my updates very often helps

with that and my usage (varies) i can see a full charge till bed time.

I think I've solved the problem. Apparently the Slingbox application is messing things up. Don't know why, but a solution is a solution.

flipping threw the tabs does seem pretty quick..

the cookie HT is almost a standard nowadays..gotta have it. (but i do like that its not cooked in, that way when/if updates come you dont have to wait a new updated rom)

Also as if if wasn't already implied by my prior releases, this ROM is internet stealth enabled using both wi-fi internet sharing and USB tethering. (Thanks to Mighty Mike and Juggalo_X)

Maybe try backing down on the slingbox version? I am running 1.6 for slinbox and my wifi works fine. On it right now as a matter of fact.

Hey Chris, one thing I'v noticed this weekend with your 5/8 rom was typically when I use my headphone on past roms like 4/16 and press the button on the headphones it will pause/play music (example: if im using sense it will pause/play the htc music tab, and if sense is turned off it will pause/play windows media player) . This doesn't work on the 5/8 (and I assume 5/9) rom. but the press and hold command still works.

What kind of headphones are you using? I plugged in my headphones and all works as it should. I am assuming from your descrition that you have some sort of headphones with pause/play buttons built in.

I too am running Sling Mobile 1.6. I have an older Slingbox (AV, I think) and the latest version of Sling Mobile will not work on my box. You have to have one of the newer boxes for it to work. I think the latest version is 2.0 and every time I bring SB up on my TP2 it asks if I want to upgrade and I have to tell it no. I tried the upgrade once and the whole thing took a dump.
