+1 on the xda_uc not working, but I'm not totally done with my research. I've tried the XDA_UC directory method and the sdconfig.txt method. Neither one loaded the cabs indicated.

Also, I'm having the issue with using q-menu to close file explorer. Whenever I've tried to close all running programs including file explorer it locks up the phone. Hit the reset button and all's well again.

Regarding other roms, I've only flashed BigNaDad's recently (three weeks ago) basically because it's a verizon only build and I was curious. Natually it wasn't his current build but battery life seemed a bit better, performance was about the same as your v7. I don't remember what MS build it was though (probably 23559). His rom did have the ability to import cookie settings files while your's gives multiple errors (acutally same error over and over).

This latest (v8.3 all carrier) really is fast. My unofficial speed measuring metric is the speed at which the time zone list will scroll when I add cities to the weather database. The zones were flying yesterday! Can't judge battery yet (and by the sound of it, I probably won't have a good test because there will be a new rom to test, LOL.

Oh, and don't burn yourself out making these better. I think I speak for everyone when I say we'd rather see you making roms and themes for a long time than just getting a couple more updates!!! Take your time and relax a bit. Trust me, with this quality there will always be followers.

Edit: Maybe a suggestion for the green theme. The taskbar clock is hard to read because of the white on light green. Maybe a darker green (but it's a good match for the other green highlights). Regarding other graphics, you're way ahead of my imagination.

hey i just reinstalled cookie's home tab editor then it worked fine for me!
its really though to use this without XDA_UC though, so hopefully that will all get figured out!

EDIT: if you simply cooked in the HTC black i would be fine with it theme-wise lol!

I reported this a while back, and it still does it from time to time. If file explorer is in your list of running programs, it will freeze up the phone if you try to end all of the programs. Even doing it with task manager it will freeze the phone sometimes. So I dont think it has to do with quick menu, it has to do with file explorer. even using ark switch back in the day(couple months ago) it did this also.

Maybe it's not file explorer itself, maybe it's the file explorer extension. The ability to scroll through the directories on the top of the screen is part of an extension addon for file explorer, right? Maybe if jstine just uses file explorer (without the extension) it would solve the problem. Don't know, just guessing! Also, is having the extension worth the resetting issue?

Suntopper, I will send a pm for the link to a rom that I will build tomorrow without file exp. ext. so you can try it. But what I remember 3 or 4 months ago we had the same problem with with a different task manager(sorry can't remember it's name). When this was 1st reported I didn't have file explorer ext. in the roms. I'm not sure what is causing the problem, but I will try anything to solve the issue. So Suntopper, are game to beta test V9 23569 without the ext in the rom? I should be 99% done with the rom by 16:00 hrs tomorrow so let me know. Major changes to V9, new manila engine, new xip and sys, oem's. Pretty smooth rom so far!. CHT import errors gone, larger start menu text.

Well I tried to prepare by determining what needs to be running besides file explorer but now I can't get the phone to freeze, LOL. I've tried file explorer left on device, storage card and one and more programs open. Programs include Bing, Google Maps, Calculator, pocket UNO but when I close all the phone works fine??? Has anyone been able to isolate this further? I know when it locked up before it was pretty consistent whenever I selected close all in q-menu.
