12/22/10 Starting 12/26/10 All roms/pictures will be removed!

I know it's a pain, but what if you try going back to stock? (almost sounds like a hardware issue, no, yes?)

First time this happened. Try flashing back to your 1.5.2 same problem.

When I go to the windows key and select the phone settings I get "No service" any idea why this is happening.

I also lost my sim card a while back. so its not in the phone.

I thought it was the sprint carrier provisioning.

I did a hard reset on 1.5.2 and it seems to be working now. I dont know what went wrong.

Ill try flushing out the problem when I get home. Im at work and wanted to flash his 1.5.3 because I noticed a few changes. However it looks like Ill have to wait until I get home.

Same problem I had the other day with 1.5.3 beta. The phone did a hard reset all by it's self x's 3. I did a task29 when I got home and then everything was fine. I have since removed the ext files that were creating the problem, so with the next release of 1.5.3 all problems should be gone.

BTW: ModmyPPC here's the best I do do with your request of a smoke DC.

So I have a question??? (which means I'm currently flashing)
If task 29 is always a good thing to do, why don't the chefs put it in their roms? The way I understand it, the default splash screen is just something that was added to task 29 to finish the job (I'll admit this was a long time ago). I think originally, the concept was to have a rom flashing at the end of task 29 but I could be mistaken.

Don't know if it can be done but I will take a look at it. If you remember the good old days with 7" & 10" reel to reel tapes. We had a bulk eraser that we used to remove all traces of previous recordings. That's kind of what task29 does, it acts like a bulk eraser. I also don't think task29 needs to be run on every flash. Just after jumping from different builds and different chefs roms. I must have flashed over 200 x's since I got my TP2 and this week is the 1st time I ever had to use it.
