How about Cookie's Home Tab 1.7 and CHTE 1.7?
(I'd do it myself but I'm at work)

From v1.7 onwards, Co0kie's Home Tab now includes a menu link to the editor application. This requires a registry value that is set when installing the editor. Obviously, if you're cooking the application into a ROM then the installer is not being run, so this value is not being set.

The following value should point to the editor application to make this link work:

HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila:CHTE.Path

Does this still need to be done or does your ext have this already set-up?

I have check this and here is what mine looks like and it still does not work.

\\ Program Files\CHTEditor\CHTEditor.exe

I also verified the exe is in that location.

Thanks

Try this in your app.reg

Code:

REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\CHTEditor.lnk]
"Icon"="\\Windows\\icon.png"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"CHTE.Path"="\\Program Files\\CHTEditor\\CHTEditor.exe"

(double \\ in your filename...)

After I posted the above, I also found that entry in my "Manila Options - 2.5 - Co0kie_HomeTab_v1_7_0" app.reg. I corrected it and all is good now...

Edit: here are my packages
Manila Options - 2.5 - Co0kie CHTEditor_v1_7_0_0
Manila Options - 2.5 - Co0kie_HomeTab_v1_7_0 **I rearranged and move some registry to the top

Not sure as an OEM but i converted it into EXT format for you and others who might want to test.

These are the FlashLite 3.1 files from a working cab, in EXT

Glad to hear it worked for you! that uconvert application is pretty sweet

even though i still have some gripes with the way IEC calculates Data numerals, i.e 25MB =25,000KB but 1MB = 1024KB

heh

edit: don't cook in the "real" cookie clocks, I haven't got them fingered out yet.... It will cause Sense to hang...

Thanks to zone23 over in Calks Kitchen. Co0kie 1.7.1.0 (4-18-10) is as easy as drop n go. Dont forget Manila - Options - 2.5 naming. The shared, hard work from everyone is incredible.

These worked I have already edited for the menu.

ok rstoyguy, got another one for you, tried the cab to oem(ext) program, took out all the wrong languages, ended up getting the icon confused with opera. see if you can fix it.

also, if you know how to ext a licensed version of mobile shell, I can upload it like the other one. let me know.

I'm a little confused with these. These go in your sys file for each build. The only difference I can see is it puts a myPhone icon in your settings/system.
What am I missing or is this myphone.

Does anybody know anything about skybox?

haven't played with it, but not sure I need all my stuff syncing together. I use myphone and that is about it.

That was a waste of time. Then it needed to be updated too!!

This is my first attempt at creating an EXT (and a cab for that matter) but it seemed to cook on my ROM OK in Calk's.
Thought I'd share if anyone was looking.

I try to find new stuff that works with CricKet. Sometimes that is not easy. Then I find something new(Skybox) and the only thing new about it is the name. I just dont get it.

How about an Ext of FdcSoft Task Manager v3.3. This thing is really cool. Santod turned me on to it.

attached below. also attached is a very useful tool for converting cabs to ext packages. just place your cab in the same directory that you export it to, then just drag and drop the cab onto the CAB2NEWKITCHEN.bat file and BAM new ext. just make sure the file name does not have any spaces in it other wise it craps out.

Re: Custom VisualKitchen EXT Request Thread - Get Them HERE!

Domsim

Using the Kitchen converter you posted, it created the folder with the contents in it,
But how do you then get the reg file, apdat, and skip file, and all the other stuff thats in the other kitchen files, is the other stuff needed?

Thanks

DomSim 04-26-2010 03:57 PM

Re: Custom VisualKitchen EXT Request Thread - Get Them HERE!

it should make the app.dat and app.reg, the _skip/_premium etc files are not needed. they are generated by the kitchen when building.

is the output structure like this,

*name of package*->files->*all cabs contents*
or this,
*name of package*->*all cabs contents*

if it is the latter then you dropped it on the wrong batch file or your cabs file name has spaces in it. make sure you drag and drop the cab onto the CAB2NEWKITCHEN bat file.

another way to see if you just used the wrong batch file is if you have a .dsm and .rgu file. if you do then you used the wrong batch file.
