ok, pandora ext on here gives the dreaded debugging error.
anyone else wanna take a shot at it?
got another one for y'all too:
this one pops up a "this cab created with pocket pc express" or something to that nature that gets in the way of the cab to oem process. probably needs a skip file i don't know how to make.
any takers?

set these 2 keys to fix pandora

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\TcpIp\Parms]
"TcpWindowSize"=dword:00004A38

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\P references]
"Shuffle"=dword:00000000

WMWifirouter is a paid app....so I'm not sure you'd find love OUT IN THE OPEN foum. I've seen it cooked in some kitchens but that didn't work for me/.

some of the older versions i think are free. of course one of those is what caused my internet to crash so i stay away from it.

there are already some registry entries in there, one exact, the other (parm) is similar. i'll try anyways. pandora has been really picky with being on there with other radio apps (slacker). be nice if pandora would release a 6.5 for the hd2 we could steal!!!

slacker seems to stop after a few songs and requires a restart. except for the "are you still listening" pandora has worked perfectly for me (when i can get it loaded correctly).

I am able to use the cab file to load it after flash, i was wanting to cook it in though.

edit: o.k. got pandora to work. wasn't a pandora problem. it was wmp defaults to shuffle on when you first flash and that has to be unchecked. that is the case with any pandora cab on this phone. something they share i guess.

edit #2: registry edits aren't taking, having to manually change them after phone flashes. trying it now to see if manual changes will work.

edit #3: manually changed registry with soft reset solved problem. gonna add it to my keep music playing tweaks folder (end of the ROM) and see if it holds the changes or not.

Re: Custom VisualKitchen EXT Request Thread - Get Them HERE!

tried the 7zip ext's and had problems with both:
1. 9.11 - works ok, but puts your taskbar at the bottom and blurs the choices at the top. still seems functional.
2. 9.12 - couldn't find the program anywhere on the ROM after flashing, will try again, but think that one might be a nogo.

both of these are being cooked into 21646 6.5.x ROMs.

im gonna guess you are using calkulins kitchen? he has an mxip in the oem folder that sets shuffle back to on at first boot. it is in a folder called registry - tweaks or something like that. find that mxip then either delete it or edit it with notepad.

is it possible to get office 2010 in ext?

the beta is expired, and the current version is pay software and would be considered warez so probably not.

i'll take a look at that. the other registry fix didn't take either, the changing parm values.
is it 98304 or 18000 that it is supposed to be changed to?

dude, you rock!!!
found the folder, looking at it now.
do you know which registry settings i can change to set my backlight settings? I want to take off the autosensor, leave backlight on all the time and turn device off at 10min-battery, 30min-plugged.
also setting to 100% when plugged and 50% when battery.

found all the settings and fixed them for the backlight, think I have it fixed for pandora as well. all these little tweaks cabs I have running at the end, I wonder how many of them are being overwritten by this? gonna include them in the end of this for good measure.

thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

edit again: backlight reg edits didn't take for some reason. i just went in and adjusted the values in the mxip, but it doesn't seem to have taken. but the pandora fixes held.

can the mortscript cab be ext'd and cooked into the ROM or OEM'd for that matter? I tried, but it looked "different". also, where would it go in the kitchen?

office 2010 is sys related so its in the kitchen just not available to all sys unless inserted.

im guessing you slide it in the shared folder and run with it.

tried it in the shared folder and it didn't work. tried it in the oem folder under common and it crashed my kitchen.

i'm guessing you'll have to add it to each sys that you get unless someone else has got it working in a shared folder of some sort.

thought i'd add one of my own. it's called freda and it is a really nice ebook reader. I tried the htc ebook reader and it would take 20-30 sec, to be able to turn the page. this one is smooth as butter and very customizable (font type and size, white on black, black on white, etc). over at xda-developers they have a file for 300 epub format books you can download to read.

try this mxip i have attached. it is just the one i use, modified for your requested settings. you can include it anywhere in your kitchen. if it still doesnt stick, you can move a mortscript into the startup folder that writes the values on first startup, which will run after runcc, that sets these values then deletes itself. but the mxip i have attached should do it i think.

i had someone look at my buildlog.txt and apparently some of my setup.dll's are overwriting each other. gonna go through and try to rename them and see if that fixes the problem. might be a couple of days, but i'll report back.
