Custom VisualKitchen EXT Request Thread - Get Them HERE!
Quite a few of you are aware of my other OEM request thread, here is one for a EXT package thread. I enjoyed my other thread as it turned me onto alot of different software. And while I don't really enjoy oem'ing software where the author releases a new version everyday (A_C...:) ) , I'll do what I can.
This thread is meant to be a supplement the many Visual Kitchens that are being released. Note: These EXT's will work with popular kitchens that use the Visual Kitchen. Most will also work with wm6.1 as well as wm6.5 unless it is commonly known to only work with one, like titatium weather. Also most programs will work on QVGA, VGA, and WVGA, unless it is specifically for a certain resolution like Pandora. Alright, here we go! 1. Download and extract the attached file. 2. In the above name example, there are three places in an OEM that RGUID exists. I have highlighted a couple of number in orange so you can create a unique RGUID so that you can create other OEM's as well. The number here is hexadecimal. You will need to change this number in the *.dsm, *.rgu, and inside the options.xml file. Be sure you get the digits right! 3. Open your ext and copy the following file contents to: *.dsm - Blank, not used here. *.rgu - Copy the contents of your ..\app.reg into this one. Be sure you leave a couple blanks at the end... initflashfiles.txt - Copy the contents of your ..\app.dat file into this one. 4. Handling the options.xml file: Quote:
Replace the following with: apps_Blank_OEM - The name of your app! Apps - The category your app will show up. ffffffff-9ea8-4055-9ca2-17bfb7100000 - This is the GUID I metioned earlier. They must be the same Hex number! 5. Don't forget to rename your OEM to what you put in the options.xml apps_Blank_OEM field. 6. Copy to your kitchen and enjoy! Your DONE!!! |

Does anyone have the EXT for Cookie Home Tab 1.6.1 and The CHTEditor?
I ran the cab converter to conver from Cab to OEM then OEM to EXT but it does not look the the same output as The one in the kitchen now. |

Excellent idea, I remember hitting this thread pretty hard back in my TP days.
I'd love to see a Resco 2010 + Registry EXT please! There's a damn setup.dll in the cabs. |

rstoyguy, the inbox extender ext isnt working. its weird because the dll is there, its in the correct place but it doesnt do anything when cooked in. any idea what the problem may be?

the dll has to be registered for inbox extender to work. this can be done by monitoring the reg changes when you install the cab, use ceregedit. but i will warn you, i have tried and failed a billion time on this exact thing. i gave up and install it during first boot by adding a string to the config_operator.txt just like you would for uc

Here is the latest PocketRar 3.93
I've tried converting it to an EXT,but it does not show up in the rom. I would like to learn what to do to get these stuborn cabs to convert into working EXT's. HELP |

you need to export the .lnk file from that cab and have your ext package move it to windows\startmenu\programs
