I have the same problem. So I flashed back to another ROM for now. I like your ROM. Very simple and fast, but texting stops. I have to restart my phone in order to text and that's a bit annoying.

The only thing I did install after your ROM was S2U2 2.33. I didn't really get a chance to test the texting before hand as I was leaving for class lol. After that I was just receiving texts from friends. It would allow me to reply once or twice but after that the send button would not work. I could restart my phone and it would work fine for another text or two. I just flashed back to the stock ROM and did a reset. Going to install your ROM again this time without S2U2 and see what happens.

Thanks, your diagnostic help is appreciated, I know it takes time for you to do but it will help improve the ROM, I'll look at it more closely to see what could cause this. Sucks cuz I'm not experiencing it. At least not yet.

oh, and which version of the ROM were you running when it happened?

I'm trying to break it but I literaly just sent 15 messages in a row from manila and its working, I'll keep trying

ANY OTHER USERS HAVE FEEDBACK ON THIS? I MUST FIX IT ASAP... ;-) OCD



EDIT: I got mine to fail. I'm going to try installing an alternate MMS cab to see if that somehow affects it.

@sacr3d, what MMS cab did you use?

Sorry if I seem less obvious of what you're asking, but I used what ever you provided.

Only things that I'm starting to remember that I installed was S2U2 and the Dusk clock app.

I just installed the clock app and still no problems. I'm going to install S2U2 again and see what happens

Flyers Sprint MMS Cab

I'm still testing but the Hypeo mms cab for sprint may have a conflict with the ROM, not sure yet though!

Still having an issue with the send button not working from windows mobile messaging...

When sending from manila, it will send but not appear until you leave and come back in.. from winmo messaging it will not send at all. I have to research this but considering I'm at work I'll have to do it a little later. I still recommend the flyers mms cab b/c i wasn't receiving mms's that were sent to me until i just installed it, now mms is working fine.

Is it safe to install that cab now? I just ran into the problem. Seems like it happens when I'm receiving texts while my phone is locked.

you can install the cab, but uninstall the other one first. It's not going to fix the issue though, I'm still running into it. No worries, I WILL figure it out but just need some time. :)

How do I uninstall the first one lol? Assuming there's a CAB to do that. I just did what you said not to do lol. I installed the other CAB without even thinking about uninstall the original haha.

Alright, I got sms working better. You can still break it if you beat the hell out of it but I'm still working on getting it 100%. See the changelog in post 1 for more info and for download link.

Oh man i just barely had a chance to get back to this thread and i see that there seems to be a solution to the messaging problem, i'm gonna install this new rom and try it out fusion, thank you for getting on it so quick man! I gotta say i love this rom and if the messaging is fixed then i'm set. :D thanks again, i know... i'm ranting. lol

Alright :-)

Remember I still am yet to perfect it but I have flashed a few other roms during my testing over the last 24 or so hours and functionality should be on par with them.

I need feedback, anyone who downloads this version (03.26.10) please take a minute to provide me with some. Especially pertaining to texting.

Congrats on the ROM! I've mainly been using Mighty's, but I like the look of this and that you're trying to perfect it. I'll try to flash later tonight (at work now and won't be home til late) and provide feedback to give a VZW perspective!

OK peeps. This seems to be happening on Mighty's latest ROM. I've only seen it reported by one person though......

Perhaps it is something to do with the Sprint OEM Drivers. Hopefully we will figure it out sooner than later.

I did create a bare version of my ROM and skipped provisioning all together and sms was flawless though... SO I'm still trying to determine if its within provisioning or elsewhere.

People with SMS problems... do me a quick favor. Take out your SIM card (under your battery, use the stylus) and see if you still have issues with SMS.

Flashed 032610 and all I can say is....WOW! Very nice! Very snappy, no lag on home screen with weather animations. My flash dance from MightyROM: Clear storage > flash Verizon stock 6.5 > clear storage > program phone > flash FusionROM 032610 > clear storage > provision > imnuts' arcsoft for vzw cab.
  • Task bar shows EV instead of 3G for verizon, but no issue.
  • Long press on red "end" button goes to vibrate (which is cool) instead of soft reset. Found that top screen wake up button long hold does the soft reset.
  • Clock stuck on me once
  • Send/receive MMS OK! (only checked twice but no problems)
  • I like the notice to "view" or "dismiss" on email / miss call notifications
  • wifi stopped working for me on twitter and opera, but vzw connection worked
So far so good....I'm enjoying the colors you've chose.

Installed MyPhone, imnuts arcsoft, Inbox Extender, white battery w/% and shutXP so far.

Great Job!

EDIT: Lovin' the rom! Any thoughts to using cookies homepage cab vs. the 16 shortcuts?

OK, it's been one hell of a weekend! I'm making progress on the ROM and hope to have a fix for the SMS issue uploaded this week. As previously stated, taking out the SIM card should fix the problem until I come out with one. Thanks to everyone that has been flashing and testing my ROM. I really appreciate it. Alright, well back to work, later.

I've not tried to install cookie over 16 shortcuts, if that doesn't work then perhaps i'll build the rom with no homescreen mods built in and just upload the cabs to allow for further user customization. :-D

Cool....take your time and I know you'll get that sms issue (still no issues for me)!

I was just wondering about the cookie vs 16...I just like to be able to hide the shortcuts by swipping down as well as the calendar notification out 7 days (adjustable) in cookie's, but the 16 is working out for me, no problem.

Installed cookies 1.6.1 home tab and CHTeditor with no problems...installed right over the 16 short cuts. I have it set up just like that with only one shortcut page 4 X 4. The only visual difference is you get more appointments showing out 7 days and you can hide the shortcuts with a swipe down showing even more appts.

Let me know if this helps, or if I can check something else out for you!

Sounds good...I'm sipping on some Stoli! And I totally understand about that painting. I have two girls (4 & 1) and had to paint BOTH of their rooms in one weekend (just before the 1 yr old was born)! whew
I'll continue to check for updates as this rom is running smoooooth and if there is an update cooking I can't wait to check it out.
