running nice n smooth so far, mms works fine with flyers cab only. lots to like about this rom. heres the mms cab if anybody on sprint wants it, edited for size and number of recipients. (amount)
i also like the onscreen kb with no bottom arrows, havent seen that yet.

I may have ran into something. If I go to the settings tab and press Other, everything locks up and I have to reset. Can you duplicate?

Yeah I'm aware of that and will be fixing it, for now just don't click that beast! :?

That's one of the "smaller" issues on my laundry list of tweaks. Good catch!

Not even sure what is under "Other" to be honest. Just clicking through the options. :)

Looks like Opera uses a lot of resources. I check the task manager dropdown and it goes from low 60s to high 70s - low 80s. When I close it things drop back down.

Really liking the ROM. You have done some very nice things. Good mix.

Yeah, I'm also looking at a different version of opera for this ROM, I personally would like to see some changes with it. I'll probably keep 9.7 but perhaps a different build of it.

I like it, you're really testing all aspects of the ROM, that's what I'm looking for!

And thanks again, I spent quite a few hours putting this thing together and tweaking it for stability. I've only been cooking for about 3 weeks so as my experience goes up I'm sure it will get better ;-)

OK, we've had about 100 downloads in under 24 hours. Not so shabby considering there have been some other big ROMs released around the same time! Now who's got some feedback? We're gonna make FusionROM one of the core ROMs of this site.

This is one slick ROM! After reflashing to the fixed version I am golden with all I have done so far. Fast, smooth, not crammed with useless apps I will never use, and it is stable. I think it's a great ROM especially for being one of your first!

Will run it some more and see what all I can throw at it! THANKS for a great ROM.

It should do that as long as you are syncing with facebook. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding your question.

I synced my contacts and their facebook pictures show up in their contact card but when I call them the picture doesn't show up during the call

I haven't tried but I have read where you can find the GSM based dialer which is the more FB friendly version, from what I read, in cab format. I would just dig around for the dialer that way.

Many chefs are not using the GSM based dialer anymore due to the new CDMA based dialers coming out to match Sense 2.5. Before Sense 2.5 was strictly GSM and built with the GSM dialer, but now that Sense2.5 is hitting the CDMA markets the dialer is based for CDMA. At least this is my understanding.......BUT I don't even use FB so I am not as educated on all things FB friendly, but I have read about this in two other chefs threads.

fusion, just wanted to say its great that you follow your rom so well and answer all the questions fired at you and that you fix stuff so fast. +1 for lots of testing before the rom hits the site also. you have a nice mix of apps ect now and i hope you dont bloat the rom adding stuff that can be installed buy the user.

Thanks Darren :headbang: The last thing I wanted to do was put out a piece of garbage which would turn everyone off... then where would I get credibility?

Gotta do what I gotta do to launch this thing, and until I get enough qualified/skilled members following the thread to assist with questions I'm gonna do my best to stay up on things.

Don't plan on adding bloat, in fact I may remove a few apps but I want more feedback on what people find useful or not. I also am opened to making a completely stock-like rom and/or a rom that doesn't contain sense. But until feedback/demand I'm running with what I got. :toothy7:

Sadly I've not even had myself a drink to celebrate the release lol Been really busy with fixing this last night and taking care of my pregnant wife. Once the baby comes (~3 weeks) I'm gonna need guys like you to help out with the thread (or maybe I'll have time when I'm up all night long with a screaming child haha).

you got lots of skill to be jumping in with the bigboys and i must say your holding your own imo and have that drink and one for me cause i wish i could put together what you got here but man i wouldnt know where to start. lol

Trying your rom and enjoying it a lot and good luck with continued efforts. I do not see well so I might have missed it but I am not seeing a QuickGPS shortcut in my start menu - again my poor eyesight could be the problem - just mentioning it in case it is missing or I just overlooked it and thanks.

Perhaps you could edit it down to just one of the screenshots or something?? ;-)

I just used SPB screenshot which is included with the rom... but I resized the images in paint so they didn't take up a ton of space in the thread... :evil4:

Give the ROM a whirl too.

I do have some Johnnie Walker on stand-by lol

On my list:

Replace opera with alternate build
Fix "other" options on manila tab or remove it
Correct start menu only being 3 icons when in landscape mode, though this can be corrected with a cab for now (attached)

Going to have to give this ROM a go. Only silence in here....that great! No complaints.
Probably wait for the update unless Fusion passes out in front of his computer with beer and Johnny Walker!:-)

*** UPDATE ***
I'm going to post the update that I'm running right now but don't feel obligated to flash it if you are on my most recent one. But for those that do I've changed out opera and it is much smoother and you have the ability to save favorites now that can be added to the shortcut menu. Also I fixed the landscape start menu view but you can also fix that with the cab up above.

I'm gonna need some time with the issue regarding the "other" options on the manila settings tab. Maybe by this weekend.

i totally love this rom, it's FAST and the battery life is great. The only problem i have found is that every so often it stops letting me send text messages. i click on send and it does nothing. i have to soft reset and type the message over again. Anyone else getting this? Other than that i love this rom, but unfortunately i text all the time and this is a big problem for me :(

Hmm, I've not had this happen (yet) and I also do a bit of texting. I've not had other users have this happen to them but hopefully if they do they will let us know. I'm not sure why that would be happening. Do you have any custom mods installed? I'll keep my attention on it though.

Battery life is proving to be quite nice, huh? Stand-by battery life is just plain disgusting... I can turn my phone on after a couple hours of stand-by and it will usually be at the same percent or maybe 1-2 % less. :headbang:

Alright people, this cab does not need to be installed as it is already built into the rom. BUT I had a request for it stand-alone so here it is :)

Some are reporting new Sprint PRL might be draining battery - anyone here know about or can confirm anything regarding this and thanks.
