Re: [3.23.10] Sprint Lover's ROM 2.5 | Official 21889 6.5 | Organization | Speed

Chris, first of all, great ROM. Thanks for making the ROM and all the help you've been giving everyone on here. I'm not a fan of the HTC Notification Manager and disabled it by doing a registry edit (HKLM\Services\NotificationManager\Flags = 4). It worked as expected (tapping an icon would pop up the default windows bubble) except for when I tap on the volume icon. When I tap on volume, it pops up a window that says "HTC Volume Control - Do your voulme settings" (the typo is what the phone shows). On other roms that I've done this on, the HTC volume control screen appears when I tap on the volume icon. Do you have any idea why this might be happening? If it's just a result of disabling the HTC Notification Manager, I'll have to decide between going back to the previous rom without that cooked in and live with the 10% battery life indicator. Is it for sure a necessity that the HTC Notification Manager has to be included to allow the 1% battery driver to work? I tried the XpressDusk-Sense 2.5 ROM before yours and it has a 1% battery driver and doesn't use the HTC Notification Manager. It does have a custom taskbar though so I don't know if that makes a difference. Maybe I'll try to flash your previous ROM and find out what 1% battery driver is being used on that ROM and see if it works? Thanks for any help you can provide!

If you want the classic windows mobile volume try deleting the HTCVolume folder in the registry then softreset... I tried this when I was on the stock 6.5 rom, not sure how good works on the sprint lovers rom

You do not need the HTC notification manager for the 1% battery driver. You can use a custom taskbar which will have an altered battery icon and that will show the 1% increments.

Re: ★[4/16/10]★ SPRINT LOVER'S ROM 2.5 | Official 21889 6.5 | Organization | Speed

Sorry for asking this but for those who have used MightyRom (3/23/2010 Sense 2.5 version), however does this ROM compared to MightyRom, in terms of speed and stability? I have used MR and it's pretty solid. Been too busy to try this ROM out (and I don't flash much) so I just wanted to ask those who have tried out MR and this one and see how they like it. Sorry Chris, I will definitely try this ROM out when I have time; from everyone's experiences I read for the last 2 hours, this may be "THE" one, especially since I have Sprint.

Re: ★[4/16/10]★ SPRINT LOVER'S ROM 2.5 | Official 21889 6.5 | Organization | Speed

I have used mike's and I very much prefer this one. There are a couple minor issues that are in the mightyrom that this does not have.

One is the LED notification not available on MR. I know there was a CAB that solved it but then broke the keyboard light and other things I think. Never checked for another update.

The other is on mightyrom, when tapping a txt message on the text tab to reply, then sliding the keyboard to begin typing, the cursor does not go to the message box. On sprintlovers, it auto jumps so you can begin typing right away. Might seem minor, but others noticed this issue and as far as I know no one knows the fix.

Oh, and when using iGO gps navigation, the text to speech with street names works with no workarounds necessary, just tried this on mightyrom today and it does not work out of the box.

P.S... Very stable, feels just as fast as mighty's

I have one suggestion. Will you cook in the original "Sprint" logo on the upper far right of the manila curtain? This is the "Official" Sprint Lover's Rom so why not? Get it from the original Sprint 6.1 rom. Also cook in the Sprint startup gif and have it actuall finish the animation instead of stopping at the near end. Is this cool or what? If you don't think others would like this then could you do it as a seperate rom so we have an option? Thanks for this awesome rom Chris!!! No need to look anywhere else for a rom!!!!!!!!

Read the Sticky threads that have instructions for unlocking and flashing. It's not hard at all and you will love this rom!
