nice, my download failed 75% done. time to go to the mirrors.

and we're off the to the turtle races now! (71kb/s) crappy work wifi!!! picked a bad night to let my friend borrow my 4g Clear stick.

Call it crazy but to quote you, "ypu=pig/cow/etc..." its getting worse by the minute! lol

Its cool I'm an engineering student, I'm allowed to become fat as I go through the years haha.

I'm sorry if this has already been asked. Is it worth it to upgrade from a custom ROM to this, is it really all that much faster/better? Thanks!

it's base 6.5 with sense 2.5. so if you are running a custom rom based on that (i'm not), then it might be worth it to flash it and see how it does. only has a report 45mb free program memory, which could be concerning.
personally, i will probably use it as my flashback ROM when cooking, but probably won't use it much.

will be interesting to see what gt2l can do with it.

Sorry I made a mistake earlier, a typo it's late it has 95mb free not 45mb.

Also the HTC Task Manager (the one that you access from the little triangle at the top right) is apparently missing

Also no 'enhanced' landscape support for the photos and music tabs. (There is of course landscape mode, but not the cool 'jukebox' modes I have seen on some ROMs

i dont know if mine is still booting but is anyones task manager on top right coming up?
also i noticed it has that one bug the 1hour and two minute one any1 know wheres the fix?

Wouldn't it be worth updating to this just to receive the radio update? Then one could go back to a custom ROM whilst having this latest radio, is that right?

Yes if you could just download the radio update posted a few pages back no need to download the whole rom, Also if you have your phone sim unlocked I would wait for a new patched version of the radio first before you update.

Task manager that we are used to is missing. There is a task manager in the programs. This is the task manager that I have been pinning to my links on the homepage when using 6.5.3 since it broke the closing apps by pressing "X".

Those of you want the old style task manager, here ya go! Install to device.

Just finished flashing. I played with it a little and honestly loved it! But I'm already flashing back to Mr.X and wishing I didn't stay up late. I rely on tethering for my Achos 5 IMT to use as a gps for my work...and when I try to tether my Archos says the phone does not support tethering. I'm sure if I looked and worked hard enough I would find a way to enable that, but not tonight. If anyone can help or show me a link I would be so thankful!! But other than that I did like the update it was very fast.

FYI - you don't have to change DNS. In IE just hit CTRL-F5 to do a not-from-cache refresh. If you don't have IE then you deserve all the problems you are having with everything in your life....:D

Thats good intel. But IE meh.... I had no problems with firefox. =P

my firefox wouldn't download it. had to open the hated IE!!! probably something in the settings.
i've noticed some of my kids game sites do better on IE as well. guess no web browser is perfect.

Got it installed, seems to run nice. I installed g-alarm and cannot register it because I cannot find the area where you enter the device owner name, it is not under settings>personal where it usually is....strange....

Hey guys, I had a few questions.

I just extracted the shipped ROM to flash from SD card, does anyone know if the PPSTpatch/PRI update included in the update are required?

Also, for anyone who is security unlocked, were you able to reflash one of the unsigned WU radios or will this update relock security?

Finally, can anyone confirm that the 2016 hotfix is included, or does that need to be installed on top of the ROM?

Nevermind, figured it out. Seems it is hidden. You can enable it by a simple registry change. Under HKLM/ControlPanel/Owner, change the hide from 1 to 0, reboot and good to go.

good question. there is a lot of software that relies on that owner info for regging the product. Thankfully our chefs have been enabling it for us in 6.5 so we never knew the difference...till now...:)

here is Wvga2.5 .cab to fix the clock going an hour and two minutes back..

here is a .cab by santod for the 16 quicklinks on homescreen which is working for me.

I really love the white screen with HTC in lime green and find it refreshing. Now the orange Windows screen.. will take getting used to.

I'm disappointed! Here are my complaints:

-No HTC Task Manager
-No Sense 2.5 version of HTC Messaging
-No advanced landscape mode for Music and Picture Tabs
-Old version of Sprint Navigation
-Opera 9.7 instead of 10

I was really, really hoping work a working HTC Messaging. =\
