gross exaggerations like that are not at all productive, and frankly a little juvenile.

Yea it is silly to say that. I like it so far. its definitely not garbage. i just miss mr xs dusk clock. it wont work now haha

i got sense to check my msn mail by mail tab/menu/add account/other account or manual setup...then put in my msn address and password in the first page of the setup, when i clicked next, it automatically started windows live setup.

when i finished that, it automatically checked and displayed my msn mail on the sense mail tab.

Hope this is helpful or even relevant to what you were trying to do.

Anyone notice that the power settings now is an HTC custom one? Is there anyway to get the original Windows Mobile one back? I liked having the information tab that shows you when your last full charge was and how long you've been on standby and active usage since then. Can't find it anywhere in the new ROM. Thanks in advance.

Install this. It will increase your limit to 4.9mb

I do not think there is a difference with Opera 10. It looks like it is trying to open some HTML file that is installed locally and it does not go too well. Opera 10 does not crash though, just does not open the file.
Well, the same functionality is accomplished HTC_Taskmanager.cab that already been attached 2x to this thread (click on paperclip icon in thread listing). It is a lot smaller than fi. HTC Task Manager, and it does not install that "strange" link/icon.
For some reason nobody suggesting a fix to turning off vibration response to dialer key press. Anyone?

Just tested this on my TP2 and the everything works as you have stated. Good work on figuring this out. Same setup as the old 6.1 Rom. Thanks.

I don't know what all esle the cab does but when you launch the Internet Sharing created by this, you don't have the option in the dropdown for bluetooth PAN. I have done some testing and the truth is that the cab is not necessarily needed. If you do the registry edits listed above (and I would start with adding the new D word value for Flags first). You can use the factory Internet Sharing as long as you make sure to run a process that requires data to be on just before. In other words, if Internet Sharing has to create a data connection itself (dial 777) you will get asked for a username and password. But if you launch IE or Opera on the phone first, it works just fine. And you will still have the option for using bluetooth PAN and not have to install a cab that is doing who knows what else. At least that is how it worked for me. If someone else wants to try it without the cab and report back what you get, that may be of help.

The procedure that you provided does work just like the one used on the 6.1 Rom, Thanks for testing this out.

As much as I have found that Im not too impressed with, ive weighed my options, and decided Im going to stick it out with the stock rom for a while. I love having sprint nav and my other sprint add ins (that I pay a hefty price for every month) already there and in my sense bar. If any of our outstanding cooks ever make a rom that is just as smooth and stable with all those add ins but better I will definately try them out. But for now I guess Im going to try to get comfortable, Ive installed a few cabs to fix some of the issues and personally I have had no freezing issues and thats huge for me. Im very picky and Ive found Im stll able to do a lot of customization within this rom to make it more to my liking.

Very well put. I would have to say I agree with this one. It's kinda nice to get into the registry and tweak the stock settings. I must say that its not as bad as I thought it would be.

I agree with you. The speed and stability are awesome on the stock release and I also love the Sprint options on the slider. I haven't had any issues...yet! After flashing so many custom ROMs on my phone I have stopped looking for the eye candy and look for speed and stability instead

Exactly man, I sure wish this solution was true but I have the same result. Task Manager is NOT in Settings>System and when I open the one is Start menu the option being stated is not there.

i dont like that when u open the keyboard to landscape mode, the background image doesnt fix itself to landscape mode, it just adds the same image along side itself to take up the rest of the screen, kinda pathetic i think that they couldnt even fix this before sending out this update

Im kinda new. I just flashed this rom and it wonderful. No freezing, response to touch is very "tight" and immediate. I love it.

One question though.....

My text messages are not showing up right. For example: In a conversation with me and the same person, the entire conversation is seperated. All of their responses are grouped to gether and all of my responses are grouped together. Any fix for this?
Hard to explain I guess...

For example the conversation shows up like:
My text
My text
My text
Their text
Their text
Their text

instead of:
My text
Their text
My text
Their text

Make sense? In other words, it makes the conversation extremely hard to follow. Can some please give me a fix for this because it annoys the crap out of me

it is working fine for me, i had that problem in 6.1 with the time stamp 2016 isssue so i would say check your time stamp for recieved texts and see if you are having any timestamp issues.

All I can say...it's like going from b/w to color with 3D icons. Very nice update.

Tons of upsides...but the three downsides I can pick out...
1. The today screen has those quick link tabs on it...therefore reducing the size of the calendar part.
2. The settings for when you can make the small LED light flash are always grayed out. It seems like it is permanently set on 5 min...period.
3. The task manager is gone from upper corner. But others have detailed how to rectify this.

Otherwise...WOW. Well done SPRINT and HTC!

I just installed and ran the Sprint time stamp fix and that didnt do the trick. The responses are still grouped and seperated. Can anybody think of anything else? Anybody else having this issue? :???:

Re: Official Sprint 6.5 ROM Touch Pro 2 RELEASE (Official Discussion Thread)

Sprint's radio upgrade fixed my annoying Bluetooth issue!

I installed Sprint's release before my normal EnergyROM upgrade. I primarily did it because I wanted the radio upgrade. I am pleased to confirm what others have said .. it is not necessary to downgrade to stock, and/or re-lock before upgrading, nor does it re-lock your device. And yes, Sprint's ROM was really quick, though I didn't spend much time with it.

However, ever since getting the Touch Pro 2, I have had this issue where any time I press the button on my hands-free Bluetooth system in my truck, the truck would sever the connection to the phone, but the phone would maintain the call. It was like the phone thought it was talking to an ear-piece rather than a hands-free system. Sometimes my caller would sit there and listen to me drive, or other times as the phone hung up, it reconnected to hands-free, so the stereo would stop playing, but there would be nothing from the phone (as the phone was neither on a call nor talking Bluetooth). It has been very annoying.

This morning, after installing Sprint's ROM, then going back to EnergyROM's latest build, I re-paired my phone, and it works flawlessly. Apparently Sprint's radio upgrade didn't only fix the speed at which it moves between 1g and EVDO, it also fixed the Bluetooth behavior ROM various Bluetooth software in different ROMs couldn't fix.

Also is there a way to remove htc messaging all together? I get that stupid LAG when sending using this system but if use just ms sends instantly

This new version sucks! It is worse than the original. It is slower, even after a hard reset... how can any of you think this is an improvement. SenseUI sucks too. I can't wait for cal to release a new kitchen with whatever drivers are "improved" and then I will just go back to a cal rom.

I don't get it. How could your version be so slow when mine is lightening quick? What else do you have installed? THe one basic thing I was impressed with in the release was the speed. Do you normally hate Sense or just with this release?

Ummm.....slower?? I have yet to hear that one. My upgrade works so smooth and stable I really am just tweaking my own version of the rom to make it for my standards. I personally think some things couldve been done differently but if you know what you are doing then you should be good to go ahead and make it more to your standards.

[QUOTE=lpi408;1644048]Anybody having problem with their TP2 constantly freezing after installing this rom ?

My TP2 is locking up anytime I make any change to my phone, but it is especially troublesome when syncing with outlook 2007 using Windows Mobile Device Center on a win7/64 computer. The initial sync went fine but my TP2 will lockup after I making any change to my contacts and attempt to re-sync. My TP2 also locks up when just adding contacts to the peoples tab. The only things I have installed are HTC_Taskmanager.cab, HTC Wi-Fi Sharing with the ICS and WModem Fix.cab and CMH ToggleBT.cab. I have re-downloaded and reinstalled this rom 4 times now, hard and soft resetting after each installation.

update: Still freezing/locking-up during sync and when editing contacts on the phone when running HTC sense2.5. When I turnoff HTC sense and run titanium (windows default) I am able to sync and edit contacts on the phone just fine without locking-up. Under sense 2.5 as soon as I plug-in my usb cable to charge or sync, wham my phone locks-up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am with YOU Brother!

When I first loaded this update I was blown away… great look, great functionality…
That was… until I synced with my Exchange server (Outlook 2007) and tried to add contacts to my “People” tab. Killed me dead. Pretty much any interaction with my Contacts file (i.e. “search all contacts”) seems to lead to a freeze.

Again, as with lpi 408, I too found that turning the Sense 2.5 off basically fixes it… but that defeats the purpose as 6.5 by itself is near useless! ](*,) Can’t speak for lpi, but I have about 3,100 contacts but not too many emails or Calendar events. This volume of data does not seem to cause any such problems with the Sense UI disabled.

Anyone have a thought? I’m otherwise gunna have to go back to 6.1 and that would be a drag. Thanks to all!

That hasn't been my experience at all. Compared to to 6.5/2.5 ROMS by Mighty or Vin/Plutonium it is as fast or faster, great battery life so far, and no hickups or crashes. Way faster than the original 6.1 stock. Perhaps something your are installing?

If this is the best that SenseUI has been, then I don't know how anyone could have EVER used it. Fades are slow and irritating... animations are choppy. Text appearance in landscape sucks... and it isnt much better in portrait mode. That flip clock animation is choppy, slow, and irritating. How can anyone really be ok with all this? I didn't like senseUI before, and I think it sucks worse now.

agreed. Sprint/HTC did a good job on this. They could have just put out a 6.5 with sense 2.1 and played it safe. It's not perfect but what is. That's why we have great chefs here to take it up a notch.

I disagree that this is faster than MM or Vin's roms but respect your take none the less. Keep in mind, this is the first shipped sense 2.5 rom for the cdma tp2. Our chefs have been trying to give us sense 2.5 roms using other devices and making them compatible. Many of the original sense 2.5 ports were from devices with twice the processing power of the tp2. I really think Mike and our other chefs are going to make this better.
