all i did was install the cab

connected my TP2 to PC as external drive
selected internet sharing under Start (hit windows button)
selected sprint as network connection
hit connect and it worked.

I'm still in awe that it actually was release on the day that was reported. Im downloading it now. I pray it fixes a few issue's im having with this device. Creating contact groups and MMS, SMS, and emailing them. I was able to do it on my BB and was spoiled by that feature. If it wasnt for the track ball and a few other minor issue's on myTour I would still have it, but im thinking about switchin this phone with my wife's new curve. The user interface is alot better the applications are awesome and the fact that you can message groups is amazing. I love the newest rom they released. Come on BB fix the trackball issue...

I messed with this rom for 5 hours roughly and I must say that this rom is really garbage. It is like they stole the kitchen from one of the chefs on here. It is cool that they rolled manila 2.5 but really Mighty Mike your roms are the damn best plain and simple. Back to impact and to hell with the sprint update. Guys really take your parts you need and let the cooking begin. The hype of this will die in a few days.

Haha Okay so Although I do not like this Upgrade....Im not leaving empty handed!!!:twisted: As you read Im stripping down the Windows registry for icons....cabs.......manilas...etc. If only I knew how to snatch this slider or certain tabs from it....now that would be great!! Anyone know how that can be achieved??:mrgreen:

So far it's been a big disappointment. It's quite slow and laggy, and hangs as soon as I tried to do any texting after restoring 4xx txt msg from myphone. Not sure if it's just me but the radio now shifts between 1x to EV whereas before it's always solid EV at office...guess it's time to unlock my phone and try one of those cooked ones...

i need someones help. i can't find my favorite ring tone on the new 6.5. could someone with 6.1 still make a zip file with all the ring tones from 6.1? unless there is another way to get it from the stock rom?

No - you don't have to reformat it. The existing format will continue to work fine.

Can't login to Facebook from Contacts.
Also, font in landscape seems to lack cleartype.
Am I alone in these?

Myphone lagged as well after restoring 2k in texts using myphone. Give some time it is still doing it's thing, mine fine now.

Well, I tried this just like you told me to and I am getting a sprint error. I am done with this update. Sprint should have took lessons from some of our chefs. Thanks for you help though.

Disregard it.

1. Your card should be FAT-32, not FAT. If you don't know what that means, and your card works OK, then you're good.
2. Since you used the word reformat, that means it's already formatted. And again, if it works, leave it alone.

At least this in an official touch pro 2 Sense 2.5 rom so the chefs will have an official base to work off of. I'm sure that it is going to be a faster and even more stable than any of the ported roms that they've been working with up until now.

Sprint doesn't want everyone tethering on their networks. they have special plans for people that want to use their network as a computer internet. that's why they don't have it built into their roms.

Before I try this, what do you think of this rom and have you ever tried any of the cooked roms? I just dont want to waist my time if it is not worth it.

well been running this upgrade through the morning, a few reboots and its running smooth and quick - important note flash, configure, restart a couple times seems to help

myphone didnt give me any issues with setting up or synching although I ended up with a few duplicate names and some older texts I had to delete, nothing to rough out there in case anyone wants to cry about something that minor LOL

not sure why everyone is saying Task Manager isnt in it - its right there under start> toward the bottom - no issues with it, unless people are referring to the main screen access to stopping progs from the upper right drop down (I do miss that as well)

Audio Manager/Player is an issue so far and going to dig through the reg and such to see if I can stabilize it unless someone beats me to it as it will crash quite often if I play a song stop then go to other items nothing major as it doesnt crash out the OS just the audio player

Opera, Facebook, Twitter, Texting and Picture Text all working just fine

Camera is OK although I will be installing the "enable all features" cab soon enough

All in all it seems a decent upgrade and the chefs will have fun stripping out and integrating the "new" items into their ROMs soon enough :)

Follow a basic axiom - "if its not broke dont fix it" if your custom ROM of choice is working for you keep on keeping on

Im sure an updated version of the ROM your using will be out soon enough

Thanks for the link. That does add the option to not have the led blink, but even when i turn it off it still blinks the notification. When I reboot the phone it stops blinking, but as soon as i get an email or text it starts again and doesn't stop. Help!!! That little light drives me nuts when I'm looking at me screen.

I had this problem as well....when my phone first booted after the rom update...due to some reason it was not able to take any Caps......my excahnge password as a capital letter in it...and thats why it was not synching.....a soft reset fixed the problem with caps....try to see if you can type your password in SMS

flashed this AM in the Netherlands. Data now works over here, didn't work before with Mightyrom. Has anyone been able to figure out how to send texts from abroad??? Looks like it needs a Sprint service #...

Now need to find a working Wifi Router cab and a battery percentage cab...

are you getting the drop down option for "Phone as Modem or Sprint"?

i was just checking my installed programs and there are two icons for Internet Sharing. One of them is the default which can be found under Start->Tools->Internet Sharing. This instance gives the PC Connection as USB or Bluetooth Pan

The ICS cab should have installed a quick link under Start->Internet Sharing. This version has the PC Connection as USB and Network Connection as Phone as Modem or Sprint.

i only discovered this when i went to add a quick link to my home screen and saw there were two option. try this and see if you have two Internet Sharing programs listed.

now if i can only change the icons......
