Nope, it's not in the ROM man, just standard WinMo messaging

It's using the old 2.1 messaging not 2.5 :disgust:

Yeah I'm positive they'll put HTC messaging back in. I personally never use it so I don't mind it not being their but I do know that many users enjoy it so I'm sure that will be put back in.

live will do that due to it being a hotmail account to set it up you have to go into your online mobile account just follow prompts and it will show up in your email list when you are done.

I guess I don't understand how some are saying you don't need to do anything special if you flashed to a custom a ROM.

I really like the new ROM so far but one thing I'm kinda havin an issue with is how cluttered the start menu is.. I like the way MightyROM's are setup with distinct folders and different colors & symbols for each application... I started organizing them myself but ay, ya, yi, takes forever lol..

Unbelievable. Pretty much the one and only thing I wanted was a working 2.5 messaging client for Sprint... and they fail. I could care less about just about anything else in this ROM, since we all had it for ages with custom ROMs anyway. :protest: ](*,)

From what I understand this is just like flashing to a custom ROM, but it's actually official, but the method you use is the same. You can take the file "RUU_Signed.nbh" (from the .exe) and move it to the root of your Micro SD card and rename it "RHODIMG.nbh" and then flash. Nothing special about it. It is the same as flashing to a custom ROM.

Thanks, however I didn't have to do any of the above to flash to a custom ROM.

I even tried to cab it in this morning too man, installed correctly, but didn't work. I was going to try it again though and manually put in the server settings to see if it would work

Yup, it's the keyboard config tool.

EDIT: Looks like I may have screwed something else up, I manually installed the sdkcerts.cab and the keyboard config cab, and now they work... So ignore this, I guess.

the idea is there there is 2 ways to flash a ROM custom or stock
from Activesync/WMDC and from the SD card

you stated having a 260 error so the walkthrough for how to flash from SD card was giving to you

regardless its the same idea whether using a stock or custom ROM
Extract the EXE if needed
rename the .nbh file
follow the directions to place and start the phone in bootloader mode

I'm having trouble installing this using Parallels on my Mac. It's the only 'PC' access I have and I'm worried this isn't going to work (even though there's no reason I can think of as to why).

It seems, once the new ROM starts to flash the device, the USB connection is momentarily broken for some strange reason.

Does this observation of mine mean anything to any of you guys?

It is pretty unbelievable, the one thing that might actually be useful & good old Sprint leaves it out.

I have HTC Messaging working just fine in my Verizon phone with NRGs Dusk ROM, but my boss has a Sprint TP2 & he has been bugging the hell out of me to get it working in his phone (he couldn't flash a ROM to save his life)

I couldn't WAIT to finally DL & install an OFFICIAL ROM in his phone figuring that would finally get him off my back. What the hell are people praising in this ROM, it would have been outdated a month ago???????

Anybody get a custom 1% taskbar to work?

I was using MighyROM's and his suggestions of CMYLXGO'S task bars and they don't want to work.
I even tried two different 1% cabs. tp2's and enable1Percent.

I tried looking for something in the different upgrade threads, but that's like looking for a needle in a haystack.](*,)

I tried starting a taskbar thread with only taskbars, but I guess lurkers don't have good ideas.:protest:

Any Ideas why it's not working with Sense 2.5.

Yes there is a slide to unlock screen and it works pretty much like all of the previous WM versions out of the box. If you do a long press end key the default is set to turn off your phone radio. But if you go to settings and open the Buttons icon in Personal you can use the setting for long press end key to either lock the phone or give a menu that you can choose lock from.

Not going to work, AFAIK. I tried it on my MAC with other roms, (glad it's not my main machine) and each time it died. I was using VMWARE,

Go to your local library and take along your usb connections and the file on a flash and have fun.

It's a nice rom.

I miss the contact favorites manager though.

It still does when you select the contact, but not in the favorites.

each instance of the contact is separate.
I tried putting one text and mobile phone and it takes the other off.
I don't know how else to do this except to create a duplicate contance and use it just for texting or email.

Any body else see this???

Damn. This is what I was afraid of. Flashing my Windows Mobile device is the first thing I've tried to do with Windows running under Parallels on a Mac that wasn't possible.

I can't understand why though. You'd think there would be some sort of workaround. I'm not willing to go Boot Camp on this computer, but I wonder if that would work -- probably.

Wish there was another way to get 6.5 onto this device.

I believe you could use the micro SD card method to flash, listed in the sticky here that way you don't have to have a pc to flash.
