Don't see why you can't download it to the phone, but you would need to extract the nbh file and change the name. Check out here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=95375

If you have access to a PC, easier to do from there.

if you don't have access to a computer, then yes you can flash from the microSD card.
here's the nbh extracted from the new rom, already renamed for flashing from microSD card

you said you've never updated a rom, so i just wanted to warn you that flashing a rom erases everything on your phone. so make sure you backup first. also...in case you need them, here's the instructions on how to flash from microSD card http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=95375

my only concern about flashing to this is the lack of stealth tethering... can this be enabled via reg edit or something? thanks!
