Version 17.1 Fixed
 

Fixed version of 17 is up in first post. All bugs mentioned should be fixed now. If you dont think V17 had issues, then dont worry about flashing to 17.1. As usual enjoy the ROM.

Three different flavors now, which include Titanium version as well (Storage: 245MB, RAM 110MB first boot).

Chef you are a mad man... I haven`t tried any ROM as smooth, fast and responsive as your latest release in a long time. I think this as close to perfection it gets. Haven`t noticed anything major other than the ones you already addressed. WMP issue seems to have been resolved, battery life is anything close to Stock Battery life I have tried on any WM 6.5.X.
All in all, this is a very dam good ROM! You`ve exceeded my expectations sir. Makes me even more eager to rush you the SD Card.

Well I dont like a buggy ROM, and I dont think anyone else does too...LOL

Anyhow, I forgot to include CHTEditor pkg for CHT version!!! Install attached, its formated to fit my ROM.

You might have downloaded v17. For some reason I didnt update the post properly. Make sure you downloaded the correct version.

Has anyone noticed that Mail Setup isn`t working on V17.1? I am unable to setup my email accounts.

You probably flashed v17 again. Make sure it is v17.1. Or you can install patch posted a few posts ago...sorry guys...

I had that same issue I jumped the gun and downloaded when the cheif first posted the update I am running the 17.1 cookie rom redownloaded and all is good running very smooth e-mail etc works great I would suggest a redownload and try again.

That one One Hour flipping clock thing every time I switch to the Home Screen Tab is very annoying. Can someone help me fix it please?

If you are running the cookie rom you can go to menu then cookie editer then go to the miscellaneous settings then is the option to disable the double fliping hope that helps

Hey ai. Everything is running smooth with the Titanium version. I had an error message popping up yesterday for awhile indicating that my phone couldn't get a data connection and it went away after a soft reset. It could be due to one of the many cabs I've installed though. I also had a problem with the black ninja sms skin where in landscape when I'd try to use the physical keyboard, the text box would be hidden behind the bottom taskbar. I uninstalled it and now sms works well. I haven't tried an mms yet, as I don't send those very often, but I'll test that out today. Overall, thank you so much. I have the ROM I'll stick with now...

Data connection error might be related to what Viper posted a few posts ago.

Thanks for the reply ai. It actually was the skin from post #4 that I had problems with. I am having no problems with the default threaded ui, and it's actually kind of growing on me, so I'm cool with it. The data connection problems Viper was having seemed to be a Sprint thing, whereas I'm on Verizon. I reconfigured the settings and I haven't had any problems since. It's too early to tell if that fixed it. I'll try provisioning next if it happens again. Does the provisioning app that's cooked include arcsoft mms? I have already installed imnut's arcsoft and I was wondering if I would need to uninstall it before provisioning?

Prov cab does not include inmuts MMS. Install vzw prov from Utilities>Provisioning. See if that fixes it. You got issues with MMS as well?

What do you mean by threaded sms doesnt work in landscape? No place to type??

Thanks for the clarification. The threaded e-mail problem with the ninja skin I was refering to was the issue of the text entry field being hidden under the bottom taskbar when I would pull the physical keyboard to use it instead of the soft keyboard. Long sentence. I haven't tried sending any mms yet, I just always install the arcsoft mms cab whenever I flash a new rom. Bad habit? I'll uninstall and test it out. I haven't had any more data disconnect issues by the way.

One more problem that I noticed this morning is that when I am at the home screen and I pull the keyboard out the screen gets all garbled. Not a huge deal since I don't really use the titanium home screen in landscape, I just noticed it while trying to text my wife this morning.

Probably a Soft Reset will fix that. If not let me know. Most of the OS these days, need atleast one Soft Reset a day!

I have had that happen as well. When it does, click on the KB icon in the screen, and then click again. Dont know why it does it, but that is the simple fix.

I love the rom! All except the fact that manila music tab doesnt work for me. A must. In use 4 hours a day. Thanks, Great work though.

Great ROM and really I have nothing negative to report except for the Battery Life on V17 and V17.1 seem to be draining faster than the previous versions.

I noticed a sharp decrease in battery life as well. I have the huge, wow, my phone is more a small netbook than a phone, extended battery, so it's not that big a deal...

After it scans for 5 min it tells me there is no music on the card or the card is corrupted.

That happened to me once and I ultimately had to re-format my card and that fixed the problem.

Hmmmm maybe its associated to the SYS?? Dont know...I thinking of going back to 231xx series again!

As gabby suggested, try formatting SD card if possible. I should be getting a bigger SD Card this week (thanks for gabby). So I will test and see if indeed it is a problem with the size of SD card.

V15 is when I used 231xx series. I dont think anyone reported problems with that.

V16 used 216xx series, and there is problem with that one.

V17 uses 246xx series and no problems with it either. Infact my new 8GB sdcard plays music from Audio tab just fine...:D

Can anyone confirm if V15 had music skipping issues or not?

Windows media player works just fine with my 16GB sdcard when i play music thru the media player, but when i try to use the music player on the cookie home screen or the music tab it stops after about 30-45 seconds. Thats the only bug i noticed other than the fixes in 17.1. Great rom.

I concur... WMP issue seems to have been fix, but Manila Music Tab hasn`t. Hope chef includes a fix in in his next update.
