Does anybody have any issue with Windows Media Player freezing all the time?
My device freezes a little while after playing any Video (Particularly MP4).

im having a similiar issue but its when i use windows media player for music, i havent tried any videos yet. When i go to the library and choose a song it will start to play the song but it always freezes before the song ends and usually wont even play for more than 30 seconds. But im fairly sure that its a bad sdcard or a corrrupt file on the sdcard, because i only noticed the problem after adding 8GB of music to my 16GB sdcard and my sdcard is getting pretty old and has been formatted and reformatted quite a few times and used for a while in several different devices. So later tonight im gonna try to use one of my newer 2GB sdcards that i use strictly for rom flashing and download about 1GB worth of music and videos that ive used before and have functioned on every previous version of Bhars rom and then test windows media player again and see if the media player works with the new sdcard and mp3 files and mp4 videos that ive used before and i know are good and see if that fixes the problem. I think it will simply because i only noticed the issue after adding alot of music files,8GB, to the card.

Its the ROM. I am using a 4GB card, and dont have the issue. Anyone having cards bigger than 4GB is having this issue.

I see if I can fix it in the next release...but without being to check to see if it does fix...i am not too sure. I dont have a 8GB card, so I really cant check it.

Anyhow, now I have to postpone V17 release...*sigh*

I can officially confirm that File Explorer ruining simultaneously with Total Commander freeze the device. I have duplicated the problem several times and can confirm my claim.

so my 16GB sdcard isnt bad, and it is a bug in the rom? i havent tried another sdcard yet, but i did try and use my sdcardf on my netbook and windows media player worked fine on my notebook playing from the same 16GB sdcard that i use in my T.Pro2. Thanks for the info, that saved me alot of time and trouble, cant wait for V17, and until then im just going to back up my most important files,cabs, and media onto a 2GB sdcard so it will the media player functions ok, until V17 is released then im going back to the 16GB card that has worked well since new. Your SD card is probably ok. But it will best to check it out.

Skipping much or video might not be an issue with the ROM. I hear that lot of people have issues with media player skipping, when their music folder has too many mp3s, or they are arraigned in proper folders based on album.

My music player does not skip no matter what...but i dont have much music and videos either!

I can run it simultaneously...but when I tried closing FE it crashed on me. So suggestion is not to use FE. Just use Total Commander!:occasion5:

My media player never skips nor has it ever skipped. this is the first time ive ever had a problem with the media player and it will start a song,mp3 file, but it always freezes after about 20-40 seconds. Ive always had about 3-4GB of music on my sdcard and it always played well on ur previous roms. Hopefully today ill hav time to back up my most important and most used cabs and files to a 2GB sdcard so the media player works until V17 is released. Other than the media player and a minor bug ive noticed is that landscape doesnt function correctly on the media player. Other than that the rom is running very fast,smooth, and stable. And it has a decent amount of memory after some heavy use. Cant wait for V17, and by the way i love the new OS. Keep up the excellent work.

Trying out new SYS for V17. Maybe that will solve the WM issue!

Have a lot of pkgs to be updated, and added some new programs as well.

Still has the Facebook tab menu bug, so new FB tab will not be added. Instead, I am planning on providing a cab.

New skin for dialer as well...if I like this build, then I will release it tomorrow...:mrgreen:

Thanks gabby...the problem is everything works fine, except for Menu bar wont load. With the new FB tab, if menu bar wont load, then no point in having a FB tab.

I have had this problem before with FB tab in my ROM. And I never had a real good working solution till now...so time to think of a different way to do the FB tab.

I might have to work on this on a different release...as V17 is so close to come out!!

Hope u do release V17 tomorrow. If u managed to fix the windows media player bug(media player wont function correctly with any sdcard larger than 4GB) and it is as fast and stable as V16 then ill be impressed. Especially if u also managed to fix the landscape issue ive noticed with the media player. Then the rom will be that much closer to perfection. Cant wait. Thanks again.

OK, 1st to download V17. Cant wait giv it a try. The pics look great, and AI thinks its an improvement over V16 then it should be great. Did u get the media player sdcard issue fixed for V17. That was really my only issue with V16. Anyways cant wait to get it flashed. Thanks again AI for the new release, and for always being just about the first chef to to cook roms using the newest OS's. Will let u know what i think in a day or so after i give it a good testing and maybe a little abuse just to see how it handles it. Ur roms so far have stood up very well to heavy use and i dont see V17 being any different, considering every release is a little better than the previous.

Dont know if I did or not...I have only 4GB card...and no spare change to buy a big one now...so I cant test it to see. I think that media player issue was caused by the OS. Maybe this OS wont do that...but I am not too sure.

I'm really intrigued by this build. I am trying to get a 24XXX build that isn't all buggy. Could you please put up a Titanium only version? I wouldn't mind trying to cook one myself, but the links to Groove's OSBuilder Kitchen and the PPCGeeks Collaboration are all down. I love the artwork from your ROM though and it's the only 24XXX build I have been able to find.

Hello I downloaded the v17 cookie rom and found a couple of qurks if you go to settings then battery nothing shows up also if you go to the documents tab you get an error message that card is full or missing is anyone else having this issue? other then that the rom is great thanks for another great job cheif

I will see what I can do about a titanium build.

SD Card works fine. But again mine is only 4GB, so there might be an issue, but I am just not seeting it!!

I do see the battery settings issue, I will see if I can fix that with a patch. Battery Monitor works just fine, so there is something going on with settings.

Hello friend I found another small bug for you to check out when you recevie a text message and want to repley if you hit repley it does not automaticly put the persons name in it for you u still have to type it in other then that it has been running smooth keep up the good work my friend and I did the task 29 when I downloaded it just some info

Here is Titanium version. I havent flashed this yet. But it should boot just fine. Do give me some feedback on this, if you do flash this. This version does not include manila.

I think the patch 1 disables email...so SMS bug remains...will upload just the patch for battery on the same post.

Are you wanting the stock clock?

If you want V16 clock, then look back a few posts, I posted the XDA link for that white clock.

So far so good with the Titanium version. I haven't had a chance to test too extensively yet though. It's stable, fast and smooth. Tomorrow, I'll dig in a little more.
