I installed cleanram a day or so before but thats the only recent cab and I uninstalled it to make sure that wasnt the problem. Did you check outlook? I've personally never had the issue so can't help out real world, but I remember reading that sometimes one will hang in outlook, even if you don't use it.

Looked all over the place for the missing message but no luck. Its showing that I have a message on the arcsoft side in my sms inbox but theres nothing there. Very strange. I think it started when something was saved to drafts but theres nothing in drafts.

Well at first I thought maybe they didn't, because I was running into issues with the 2.1 rom and the exchange server at my work. The IT guy said it sounded like my device had problems with "wildcard certificates." So I flashed to stock rom only to find the same exact behavior.

I highly doubt the stock rom would leave out something that was introduced in 6.0.

They are in the middle of transitioning to exchange 2007 here at work, so i'll just have to let them finish entirely before I can say what the problem is.

I've decided to flash to your 2.5 rom for the hell of it. I'll probably have the same issues, but at least now I know it's them, not the rom.

In the registry setting HKCU\System\State\Messages\sms\Unread\

There is a value called Text. Mine was set to "SMS / MMS (1)"
I removed the "(1)" portion of the text and proceeded to test SMS counting. It started working again. I sent an SMS to the phone and it counted it as 1. I read the SMS and the count was removed. I checked the registry setting and it now showed "SMS / MMS (0)". I think this is where the counting got stuck.

Alright Young dc i tried to run this installed everything but now i get a green shade when sliding across the tf icons also various parts of text have white bars also the calendar has nothing but characters????

Dont know if this has something to do with mode 9 i tried dumping into windows folder it says cant copy/move file i tried total commander & rec zip mobile neither works.

Flyers sent me about 4000 texts/pics the other day and I had to go through each and every one to get rid of one hanging on (it was worth it though, smoking pic!! thanks flyers!!!).

Mazz it has happened to me a few times also .....random though...but anyways if you tried the reg edits like you said already...then use this....the reason I am posting it again is because not all of them work....but I know this one does....also it does not remove it instantly.....sometimes takes a few minutes....but I found that if you send yourself a text right after it will go away....
