This also implements a different method to the previous radios, so this will connect to your network on Automatic. According to testers it is flawless.

1.96.10WU Downloadable here - I *DO NOT* recommend this over the above radio, however, for those who won't use updated ROMs, you can use this radio, it is based on the old 1.96.00 STOCK radio but has NO connection issues and works in automatic mode.

Olipro, so far it looks like that last radio you posted is golden. I'm on automatic mode, went outside and walked around to areas where my signal used to drop, and yet my service is still good. I didn't even have to re-register the phone on T-Mobile's network, it was just working as soon as the phone booted. Also, data is actually still working(I'm using epc.tmobile.com), whereas it would only work for at most a minute before. I'm gonna go ahead and try a different ROM now. I gotta admit, that stock Telus ROM is pretty quick, but that lock sceen is annoying as all hell. Once again, thanks for all your hard work.

I am excited =D>to say it works flawlessly and it switches instantly and i have a sprint tp2 on pageplus prepaid(cdma) and a tmobile prepaid sim it switches on automatic mode. :headbang:

Can anyone let me know what the file is for? Does it allow me to use the best radio provider in my area, regardless of which service provider I am enrolled to?

Dr, if you are also using a US GSM carrier flash to the new radio. When you swap to GSM mode you no longer have to go to manual, just switch to GSM and bam, your dialed in.

On another note, can anyone write a mortscript to swap between cdma and gsm? I would but have not dealt with mortscript to pull it off. I know there is a 1x app so I am sure this can be done. =)

thanks mike, i never had any problems before, that's why i tried walking those who did thru what i did. i'm going to leave mine at 1.96, but if i have the problems that others had, i'll switch. but thanks again! and thanks olipro!

Ah, you don't have to go into manual mode to get a GSM carrier lock on the 1.96WU radio? If so, mind telling me what hardware rev you have on your TP2?

yes, i have to go manual, but after spending 10 hours messing with all the settings, mine works on manual. on auto, i get no service at all. but mine is all set for manual, so like olipro said, it's not broke, so i'll leave it alone. if i switch my sim from t-mobile to at&t, i'll switch then. but i'm happy that olipro addressed this issue :).

Yeah, well I was in the same boat I would get nothing if set to auto before, but now with the new radio I do not have to do that. =)

For those who want to have a toggle from CDMA to GSM without having to go into phone settings I made an EXT of an existing application which does this. Works great.

Updated to the new 2.23.00wu radio and drove around today and the phone did not lose connection will test better tomorrow going on a 1200 mile road trip hopefully the new radio will hold up and not have the same problem as previously!

So what happens if your set to auto (sprint tp2 btw) and make a call, does it default to sprint or the att chip? and if it defaults to sprint, how would you make it send an outgoing call from the att chip?

Next, if your on a call cdma, and someone calls your gsm number, will you get call waiting?

Lastly, does the physical sprint sim that comes with the phone do anything here in the us? Is it possible to roam onto a gsm tower is basically what im asking..

Thank you Olipro for the new radio! I switch between Sprint and AT&T all day long and this radio makes it ALOT easier. :headbang:

Someone else posted this simple program in another thread. I tried to find the original thread but I couldn't. Here it is for easy switch between CDMA and GSM. I take no credit for this program, just posting for everyone to use.

I just flashed this radio but now my phone is starting to freeze up at times. Anybody else experiencing this? I'm using a sprint touch pro 2 and using an AT&T SIM card. I've already unlocked my phone using the unlocker but not sure why my phone is freezing. I've tried hard resetting the phone and I have not installed any apps on it. Also, let me know if my post needs it's own thread. Thanks!
