nothin to do with that. it's what tells the phone how to communicate with the cell towers.

Hey guys,
I am having trouble understanding how you guys are switching between providers. Are you guys paying for say... sprint and at&t, using sprint off the phone and at&t off the sim card? Or are you guys just paying for sprint and if you put in a at&t sim card, you can use they towers or service for free... i have read that some people are using pre and post paid sims but im still confused. LOL im sorry i couldnt find a definitive answer. Can someone break it down for me?

I understand radios, switching cdma and gsm, having the phone unlocked, etc...

the sprint tp2 is cdma and gsm. so, you can stick a sim card from a gsm carrier in their and it will work. It's not free. You have to pay for the sim card to be active and have minutes on it or have a regular service on it.

I wasn tot flash the latest radio but I thought the radio flashing didnt erase the phone?? I ran the update and it said it would erase the phone?? should I ignore that??

yea, ignore it. aren't you lookin for the regular radios? these are the unlocked radios for sim unlocking. the regular radios are here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=90342

Ok guys i have a question for you i have a sprint touch pro 2. But sprint sucks so i went to us cellular. Now since my tp2 is sim unlocked can i somehow use it on us cellular network. But from what i understand usc dont use sim cards. If someone can help me in detail on what to do boy would i be happy as a duck in water.lol this is my first post on here but not my first time on the site. Hope i posted this in the right section. Thanks

there's nothin you can do. i'm pretty sure uscc does not allow non-uscc phones on there network. only way would be to break the law and clone your esn, but esn cloning discussion is not allowed on this forum.

sim unlocking and unlocked radios are for allowing other gsm carrier sim cards to work in our phone. uscc is cdma, so this has nothin to do with it.

I have xtra sprint tp2 whose ESN is marked as lost in sprint's system so I cannot activate it with sprint. Can I flash it to work with verizon?
