don't use sense (use SPB or the mock iPhone app)....don't use CHT (it is amazing work, but if mem is what you're looking for use something not associated with sense)
remove/replace startmenu
use stock locker
shut down weather
shut down facebook
shut down twitter
delete then remove old sms and emails (in tools)
change how often your phone pulls emails
shut down parlingo/aloqa/media
use task mgr to make sure all unwanted programs are shut down

CHANGE PAGEPOOL TO 8 OR 10
compensate for the lower PP by OC to 728---748 if you can get it but 728 seems to be the sweet spot.


EDIT: after going to sms/menu/tools/remove deleted items and doing the same with email----gained 15mb free

I thought that the default lock wasn't loaded into memory unless enabled ? So installing S2U2 without enabling lock in security would save a couple MB vs enabling the lock ? Maybe I was mistaken.

Getting rid of Start Menu... well, when running Titanium, I did just that, and used Total Commander opened in Programs folder as a launcher (minimal memory use). However, this looks very home-grown. QuickMenu's font is way too tiny, and MMAppLauncher was laggy and problematic when I tried it. Still looking for a good Start Menu replacement.

(What's OC ?) Well, nevermind. Had a brain fart there . I don't like overclocking since whenever I tried it I would have all kinds of stability and battery issues.

using Msm7kCpu OC to 729/604/1000 with zero stutters or locks.
Bati on Neo 1/31 is AMAZING (using 2 bati cabs New_maxx134 and nuebatery2TP2CDMA ) both in paperclip

i'm using spb so sense and startmenu are not even used. mmaplauncher can be a bit slow but much better than quickmenu.
using the cab below to match my "android" spb theme for lockscreen


edit: one more tip for bati is settings/personal/phone/network---"CDMA only" change back to both for global or force roaming in a non cdma area

[UPDATE 22TH FEB] [SPB MS THEME] DROID PRO+ 3.0 [W]QVGA & [W]VGA by DOC3000 & MSKIP - xda-developers

v2.2 (v3 is for qvga NOT our phones) with theme 1 (froyo)
make sure to install on a fresh SPB install. aka--reflash NEO, load SPB, than the theme----it will save you a ton of headache. using blue droid taskbar (6.5 in the paperclip) plus the above lockscreen. OC to 729/604/1000.

CHANGE PAGEPOOL to 8 or 10 and you'll end up with 112 free mem at SR

@ Amamba, i see lots of people helping you ect. so you may wanna show thanx by clicking "thanx" button. just helps them build rep so they can hit vip status which has some nice perks.

Thanks, I didn't even realize the button was there.

A couple things:

- the program launch tab can't be disabled from Settings, there's no checkmark next to it. This tab is kind of redundant since we have QuickLinks and StartMenu.

- this is really insignificant, but may be there's an easy fix... the email preview text in the Emails tab flickers when the messages are flipped through. It also seems that it's smaller than the default Sense, although I may be mistaken here.

Look back a couple of pages. I made a cab to get rid of program tab. It was farther back than I thought... look here
