Re: 01/27/10 SPRINT NEODIUM_V2 (SYS 21889 Sense UI 25)

** ANIMATED GIFs **

Just a follow up from before ... I have definitely confirmed there is a difference between the CAB file I referenced earlier for MMS, and the one that's cooked in to this ROM.

That provides a CAB file that someone has modified to support Sprint MMS. The odd thing is, even though it shoes the exact same version number was the one Vin has cooked in to V1/V2, when you are on the preferences tab, there are differences in the options, meaning the 2 versions are absolutely different in some way.

I can confirm that when using MightyROM, that this CAB file works 100% for animated GIF MMS. I have detailed out my tested to VIN, and we'll see what he can find ... Maybe I'm the only idiot that uses MMS?!?!?! I just get lots of MMS jokes, and it's annoying when they don't run ...

Other than that, I can say the new V2 ROM is absolutely amazing! FAST, FAST, FAST!!!! And everything (aside from this MMS bug) seems to work perfect.

Nice work Vin

the simplified look of windows mobile (*any version) is the main reason the device runs so quick without touch flo 3d. When microsoft designed the OS originally, it was designed for business and some media use. The iphone has made everyone realize that young people will buy smartphones for their personal toys as long as it looks pretty (about the only thing apple has done right with the iphone).

I myself would use titanium if the senseui/tf3d takes up any more memory and most people would because the titanium look is extremely well laid out. If you need add ons to the titanium homes screen then you should do some searches as there are many add-ons (including weather on home screen)

Great Job Vin!

Yes, it does have the wifi router built in.
V2 works great too...as fast as V1, but it seems to me the battery is last longer on V2.

I did flash V2 around 3 PM, at that time, I have 50% battery and now, I still have 40%. Btw, i did use some internet and phone...

Thanks Vin

How can you flash this with RUU? I have tried multiple times with my Sd and it doesnt work. Keeps giving me no file found. 8G formatted multiple times with Fat32.

actually, battery life still can be tweaked. not sure how the other cooks do it, but i know for a fact that others can do better and last longer (bettery wise)

Man, I was hoping I wouldn't have to flash again! I just got everything set up the way I want it, lol! One small bug in version one. If you have facebook contacts, the current picture will not show up when they call. This was brought up by someone before but can anyone test this in version 2 and report back?

This because the max size you can use to flash from the SD card is a 1 gig card......for some reason the bootloader cannot see the RUU on a SD card larger than one gig....correct me if I am wrong, but I am sure that this is your problem man.....

Im flashing from 8gb sd...
For those who cannot flash from SD- rename rhodimg.nbh to ruu_signed.nbh and drop it (overwrite) in v1 folder. No big deal.Just unplug your phone before you TAP the screen to setup device just to make sure that PC will not interrupt customization.

Re: 01/27/10 SPRINT NEODIUM_V2 (SYS 21889 Sense UI 25)

Yeah, I went ahead and used one of the custom roms I had and just deleted the image it came with and dropped V2 in there. didnt even rename it and it worked.

I think I am just one of the unlucky ones that has a large SD card that wont work with the SD Flash..
