New to Plutonium, pretty new to 6.5.5 roms in general. Coming from Mighty 2.1 here are my impressions of V6.

First off, incredibly great home screen. I didn't like 2.5 in the past just because there weren't enough program shortcuts available. 3 pages of 16 plus expandable calendar items, wow. HTC should have done this to start with. This cookie guy is a genius.

Second off, everything seems to work, and the screens seem pretty snappy. Video player runs less choppy than some other 6.5.5 2.5 roms I've tried. Battery life seems ok too.

My only concern is with available memory. After a few hours I was down to about 50 meg and it kept falling (even after I killed all apps with arkswitch). I feel like I have to keep killing apps or the thing will grind to a halt. I suppose that's the price you pay for all that extra stuff in SenseUI 2.5

Anyway, really nice ROM. If it is as stable as it appears I may stick with it

i suggest you use cleanRam.

V9 working great on this end Vin. Thanks for your work.

Tried installing Viigo beta on here and for some reason it wont take. Works fine on other roms with same SYS. I tried installing .net framework 2.0 and removing 3.5 to see if that would help but no good. not sure whats up. Anyone else use Viigo?

I've had mixed results (...make that major problems......) in the past with cleanram. At the very least it takes some careful setup to make sure it doesn't kill or crash things you actually want to keep resident. I'd rather soft-reset every night.

if you do install clean ram make sure that you put manill.exe in the exceptions list that will help it from crashing and or freezing on the results screen. been using it like that and have had no problems, running P.V6.

The latest version of cleanRAM will clean manila. You have to manually enter it into the registry per the instructions, but, with the latest version, I usually get back 10-15 megs using level 2.

On V9 with cookie editor version. The only bug I have is the speaker phone when faced down doesn't work. First the volume went on and off during this test while also repeatedly vibrating.
I then went into phone options and disabled it and when finished rebooting re-enabled the feature. Now face down phone feature option doesn't work at all.
Any solutions? I'm a big user of this utility.

Hey vin thanks for the great rom love it so far.

One issue I have is the RAM though(mind you I haven't run cleanram yet and most likely will). Yes it loads up around 48% ram usage but after a while it has been running on average around around 72%. Is this average for the rest of you NEOv.9 users?

edit:since I brought it up what exactly does cleanram do? I haven't researched it yet.

Thanks!

does what the name does. cleans the memory in the ram of the phone that doesn't get cleared up when you close out the program

and yes 70%ish normal
