vin said he cna't find the stock one. if you can provide the stock splash screen, he might help you

You don't need the stock one. All he would have to do is remove the SPLASH1 and SPLASH2 from the ROM image. It should only flash the OS like most chefs have it set up on their roms. Once he removes the splash screens from the image, you would just need to flash to the stock rom (Sprint in my case) to get the default splash screen. Sprint's stock rom also flashes the radio along with the splash screens and the OS.

I noticed this because I flash via SD card and the bootloader. Whenever I flash to a rom posted on PPCG, it usually only shows the OS in the RHODIMG.nbh. In the Sprint rom, it would show that it was flashing the bootloader, spash1, splash2, radio, and OS. In vin's roms, it would show that it was flashing the splash1, splash2, and OS. So, he would simply need to have the OS in the ROM image and leave off the splash screen. I hope this clears things up.

well that i know. but you need to flash back to stock to get the stock splash since splash was removed. when removed it will jsut keep the original of what's on the phone. if your last flash was previous Vin's roms then your splash would stay the same

Thanks for the link though.. those startup screens are usually the first thing I install on a freshly flashed rom.

Exactly my point... I think? I might have had to read that a couple times. Essentially, if vin would remove the splash1 and splash2 from the ROM image, all I would have to do is flash to the stock Sprint rom and flash to his (I prefer Neodium) to keep the stock splash screen.

I wouldn't have requested for this feature to be removed if I didn't think that vin's roms are the best out there right now (my personal opinion of course). I've been going back and forth with deck's SSS (or S3) and vin's Neodium these past couple weeks. Vin's definitely impressed me with his latest releases so far.

just ran some test for vin's plutonium.

10 mins test.
Now Readin @ 30MA
Avg Reading of 10 mins @ 93MA
^this is only with bluetooth cab installed.

another 10 mins test.
Now Readin @ 33MA
Avg Reading of 10 mins @ 76MA
^this is with Maxx Battery Sav Cab, Shaolin Batt Cab, set phone to CDMA instead of global.

go figure.... second test is not really fair since i installed 2 cabs and set CDMA radio to CDMA only, not Global.

CABS BELOW
01_Battery Monitor.cab
02_SprintStock.1.21.651_BT_Power_DLL.cab Be CAREFUL w/ this one. You must enable Bluetooth before installing
03_Maxx134_BatterySaving_ReducePollingIntervals.ca b
04_shaolin BatterySaver.cab

you can download them here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=113321

I used http://www.acbpocketsoft.com/Product...verview-2.html to monitor the battery...
