Re: Feb.10.2011VINdows ROMs

Hey vin. After using the feb 24 rom I noticed a huge amount of free ram available without sense/ titanium. 130 after SR and everything loaded. This is perfect. No more messing with stripped roms. Any chance you can do another NSNT rom with the htc dialer enabled and the compressed png's? Once again thanks for the hard work. Also I noticed the problems with the on screen keyboard too. Kinda annoying but the ram savings are epic.

those interested in running android, pull you SIM than follow NDNO's instructions: works perfect!!!!!
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/tp2-androi...ckage-284.html

Vlingo working perfect, voice text through sms working perfect. batti isn't horrible---expect 4-5 hours with moderate use (a lot of stuff is running in the background) animated wallpapers.
no BT (use vlingo--speakers are LOUD)and no 3.5 mm jack (I believe dongle is working though--will test in a bit)

running this with VIN 1/31....net is getting 602 kb/s through android

re: 3.5 jack, it doesn't pass audio. the mini-usb will pass audio over the pins for the mini-usb headphones, which will not work for the tp2 video/audio cable.

Hey ffkip911, LOL, see you're promoting the Android stuff :)

Anyways, I had forgotten I that installed that cab from you a few weeks ago. I don't have the original registry settings so I can't do a "before and after" comparison. Like I told you, I live in a not-so optimal reception area so my speed is all over the place.

Under Opera Browser to mobilespeedtest with 1MB file test: 751, 539, 332, 214, 418, 291
Under IE to mobilespeedtest with 1MB file test: 395, 326, 308, 346, 120, 352

Like I said it's all over the place. If you can give me the original registry settings, I'll do it again... I forgot to back up the old registry settings; will un-installing the cab restore it back to the original settings?

just trying to see if this reg edit would work under android, and from what I've experienced it's at least a bit better than without...thanks for the speed test results.

Re: Feb.10.2011VINdows ROMs

I just experienced a strangest thing with 2.10 ROM - sort of "semi hard-reset".

I had some issues with my appointments been messed up between Google Calendar and POL. So I attempted to restore them from old PIM backup (appointments only). It would reeze so I had to soft reset several times (and at least once it SRd on its own). Finally, PIMB got to the very end and froze after showing me the completion message. I SR'd again. This time I see the cyan progress line on splash screen and I am sure the system is HR'd. Once it comes back around, though, I still had all my programs in Program Directory and my documents. However my Sense settings and my regs seem to all have been gone. E.g. the Sense fix that removes the background from the calendar is there; the startup programs start up; however all my QuickLinks are gone, the FingerKeyboard and Swype are gone (installed but never loaded), my device name is changed, etc. What's going on here ?

Thanks ffkip911, I flashed the naked, and after I loaded all my normal stuff, it still has 110mb free ram, nice. Thanks vin for making a nakeneo. I know it's been around since dec, but I've been out of the TP2 until recently. I'm liking the spb mobile shell too, it runs pretty smooth.

What dialer did you use? And did you experience the same problems regarding the dialer and volume as what I posted a few posts above?

Thanks!

Vin..please with your next Neo rom... please with sugar on top include XDA_UC..it does not have to auto start.. and add PimBackup to the windows directory,. These two things would make the NEO rom PERFECT!!!!
thanks in advance for your consideration.
