Thanks 4 link!

You're quite welcome. I ran across that theme and it made think of trying SPB again. ;) I hadn't messed with it since my TP and it ran like a dead dog with a missing leg. Seeing some new development and how fast my phone runs with VIN's ROM installed, I figured I'd give it another shot.

I'm glad that I did, needless to say (though I did anyway). :toothy10:

What theme are ya'll using with your SPB?

I am using the default theme from SPB for now, but probably switch to android down the road or so. So far I am happy with the boot up time and overall free memory and excellent battery.

That SPB Android theme looks nice. Thinkng to try it.
Using Sense now as I am used to it..
I dont like CHT2.0 as it has too much unessisary stuff loading it down.
I am using an old moded CHT for just the quiklinks & appointments,
I will post as soon as I get home & import the settings into my cab.

I am very near your ram settings as my CHT is only using 3megs of ram.
I am also using the sartmenu replacement app called mmlaucher.

Yeah, I try CHT2 before and it was a huge bog. After putting SPB on with Vin's Neo, it's a complete different experience. By the way, thanks for startup replacement cabs....but does it make much difference in memory and overall speed vs. the build in SPB one?

Thanks for the link---this has MSKip in it plus a ton of extra stuff. Great find--Thank you

it uses a bit more than just MSKip, but 95 after a fresh SR (instead of 105) but seems to settle in the high 80's

Just discovered something that may help others. On nueBattery app had been checking fast charge option but have now left it unchecked and my battery seems to drain not as fast as with it checked. Don't know if my imagination or not but maybe someone can confirm this finding.

Verify if the usage of phone is the same as before in all aspects.

That was just discussed in the Sharkie thread... here ... Not sure if it works, but kind of makes sense.

Thanks for the help guys. The cab file helped. And thank you for the great rom too. Very smooth. I've been switching back and forth between it and xdandroid.

Yes, you are on Sprint (CDMA network) versus Tmobil/Att (GSM network)
You can flash any CDMA rom, which is why there's a GSM and a CDMA forum---so you don't mess up your phone.
If you flash Vin's, you will also update your radio. Usually rom's only change the OS but Vin put a little more love in that version. Even though it's a verizon radio, it works perfect on sprint because they are both CDMA (no, it will not do anything to your bill or contract)
since most (99%) do not come with a radio update, any additional rom you flash will not change the radio---so you'll be left with the most up to date radio from now on.

neo is probably closer to what you are used to on stock sprint.
pluto is a bit more finger friendly

unlock your phone and try them out...see what you like best.
