Re: Verizon OEM Update

I have a custom slider, clock and other settings and cabs installed. I'm backed up on SPB Backup. If I update to the new 6.5 will I have to reinstall all that or will SPB automatically do it?

Re: Verizon OEM Update

Getting terrible battery life on my HTC Touch Pro2 (Verizon) after performing the upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5

You can read about my experience here:

Anyone else having similar issues? I think it's time for me to load a custom ROM.

Haven't noticed a degredaton since the flash. I have charged it, but have been usiing it a hell of a lot reinstalling and tweaking things since the flash. I guess I'll let it rest a bit and see.

You will have to reload everything. This will wipe everything from your phone, so make sure you back up any data on it by copying it off the phone, NOT using SPB Backup! I don't think I would try to reload using SPB Backup to do a restore, because the OS it different. It would try to restore 6.1 stuff to 6.5, which I'm sure would wreak havoc.

Re: Verizon OEM Update

Performed a factory reset (hard reset) and will resume testing to see if my battery life issue is related to upgrading to Windows Mobile 6.5 or something else.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll just delete all my cabs on my SD and reload them once the install is complete. Shoot I might just stick with 6.1 and flash the new radio. I really donKt want to have to redo all my contacts.

Re: Verizon OEM Update

It sounds like the only advantage with the Verizon upgrade is that there is better signal reception. Are there no other enhancements that are noticeable?

Are there benefits to go from TF3D to Sense 2.1?
